How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 15

When Brendan woke up, Toothless was in his bed.
"Hey, Toothless." Said Brendan. "It's nice to see you. I'm in my house. That means you're in my house."
When Brendan saw his left foot, it was a wooden block with a piece of metal at the end. Brendan assumed he was dead, and went along with it. He opened his door and saw Vikings and Dragons living in peace and harmony.
"I'm dead." He said.
"No," Said Norman. "But you gave it your best shot. So, what do you think?" Everyone suddenly crowded towards Brendan, even Serena, who punched him lightly.
"That's for scaring me." She said, before kissing him on the lips. "That's for everything else."
Brendan was also given a new sail for Toothless, who happily hopped out of the house. Brendan, Serena, Gary, Tierno, Ryan, and Bryan started to take off on their Dragons.
This village is Cyllage. It rains nine months of the year and hails the other three. Any food that grows here are tough and tasteless. The people are even more so. The only upside is the pets. While other places may have Skiddos or Chatots, Cyllage has Dragon Pokemon.
THE END
Author's Note: If you're wondering if I'll ever do How To Train Your Dragonite 2, I won't be for three reasons.
1.  The choice I made for Valka, Hiccup's mother, would make no sense. I had Claire in mind, the Dragon-Type Gym Leader in Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, as well as the remakes, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
2. There are way too many new Dragons in How To Train Your Dragon 2, and so far, excluding Mega Evolutions and alternate forms, there are only 38 Dragon-Type Pokemon.
3. I personally find How To Train Dragon 2 too dark, and I don't think I can rewatch it that many times before my heart aches.
HOWEVER, I will have another story next month: a Cartoon Network version of Disney's Lilo & Stitch. Details will be posted on April 25th.

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 14

While in the sky, Toothless shot a Thunder Wave at Zygarde. It didn't get injured, but it did notice. The serpentine Pokemon climbed up the mountain and jumped off. Incredibly, it could fly! Soon enough, Zygarde was chasing Brendan and Toothless in the sky.
"Okay, Toothless." Said Brendan. "Time to disappear!" They headed into the clouds. It used its most devastating move, Land's Wrath, but it thankfully missed. Brendan and Toothless flew higher and higher, making it harder for Zygarde to see. Out of nowhere, Toothless hit Zygarde with a Dragon Rage. He kept using that move until Zygrade got very mad. It used Dragon Breath in a spiral pattern, singeing Toothless's sail. He took a nosedive, with Zygarde following. Just before Zygrade used Land's Wrath, Toothless shot a Dragon Pulse into the larger Pokemon's mouth. Zygarde then started to burn from the inside out, forcing it to crash. It doesn't end there. While trying to fly out of the explosion, the end of Zygarde's tail hits Brendan.
After the fire subsided, Norman searched for Brendan. All he could find was the saddle he made, which was still attached to Toothless. His sail was gone, too.
"Oh, son." Mourned Norman. "I did this."
After walking through the crowd of Vikings, Serena saw Norman mourning. Everyone else started to mourn at Brendan's death, even the Dragons. Upon hearing their cries, Toothless opened up his wings, revealing Brendan intact. Norman rushed over to Brendan's aid and held him to his shoulders.
"Brendan!" He said. He held Brendan to his chest and he heard a heartbeat. "He's alive. You brought him back alive." Everyone cheered.
"Thank you for saving my son." Norman said to Toothless.
"Well, most of him." Said Dexio. Brendan's left foot was gone.

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 13

The students were flying around the Zygarde with their Dragons.
"Tierno, break it down!" Commanded Brendan.
"Okay." Agreed Tierno. "This dragon seems to have insect-like eyes, a sharp tail, and a crest around its neck. Seems to get enraged when it's ecosystem goes disarray. Relies on vision and smell."
"Okay, Tierno, Gary!" Commanded Brendan. "Hang in its blind spot, make noise, keep it confused! Ryan, Bryan, find out if it has a shot limit! Make it mad!"
"That's my specialty!" Said Bryan.
"Since when?" Asked Ryan. "Everyone knows I'm more annoying! See?" He hung himself upside-down on the Hydreigon's third neck and gargled.
"Just do what I told you!" Said Brendan. "I'll be back as soon as I can!" He and Serena went off on a Salamence to save Toothless.
"Don't worry!" Said Tierno. "We got it covered!"
Ryan and Bryan, riding the Hydreigon, flew near the head of the Zygarde to insult it.
"Dunsparce!" Said Ryan.
"Lickitung tail!" Said Bryan.
"Husband of Jynx!" Said Ryan. That caused Zygarde to use Mud Shot at them, but it didn't hit the Hydreigon.
Meanwhile, Tierno and Gary clanged their shields to find the Zygarde's blind spot, but it happened to have eye spots on its crests.
"It doesn't seem to have a blind spot!" Said Tierno.
Serena and Brendan were flying on the Salamence in the sky. Brendan heard a familiar cry. It was Toothless. They flew down to the half-buried ship and Brendan jumped off.
"Go help the others!" He ordered Serena. While Serena flew off, Brendan tried to break Toothless out of his prison lock.
Back at the aisle, Gary and Tierno were still making noise, even though the only dragons it affected were Charizard and Druddigon, which happened to be the ones they were riding on. Charizard flicked Gary off, landing on the Zygarde.
"I've lost power on the Druddigon." Said Tierno, whose Dragon was flying clumsily. "Gary, do something!" The Druddigon crash-landed with Tierno on-board. While Gary was on the Zygarde, he hit one of its bug-eyes with his hammer. Serena with her Salamence flew by.
"Yeah, you're the Viking!" She said to him. Zygarde swung its tail, destroying the boat Brendan and Toothless were on. The ship broke, causing both of them to fall in the water. He tried to free the chained Dragonite, but Brendan couldn't get it off. He ran out of air, but was rescued by Norman. When he brought him to shore, Norman went down to free Toothless. When underwater, he broke apart Toothless's neck brace, letting him free. Since Toothless spent most of his life in the water, he didn't have to be rescued. Instead, he dragged Norman out of the water and landed on a rock, gesturing Brendan to hop on.
"You got it, bud." He said. Brendan got on Toothless, but was stopped by Norman.
"Brendan." He said. "I'm proud to call you my son." Toothless and Brendan took off, while Serena ordered Ryan and Bryan to rescue Gary.
"That thing is a Dragon-type." Said Brendan. "Let's see if it can fly like a Dragon."

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 12

Before long, Norman's crew strapped Toothless to the boat and started sailing. This broke Brendan's heart. Serena walked over to Brendan to comfort him.
"It's a mess." She said. "You must feel terrible. You've lost everything. Your father, your tribe, your best friend."
"Thank you for summing that up." Said Brendan. "Why couldn't I kill that Dragon when I had that chance? Would have been better for everyone."
"Yep." Said Serena. "The rest of us would've done it. So why didn't you?"
"I don't know. I couldn't."
"That's not an answer."
"Why is this important to you all of a sudden?"
"Because I want to remember what you say right now."
"For the love of Arceus! I was a coward. I was weak. I wouldn't kill a dragon."
"You said 'wouldn't' that time."
"Whatever! I wouldn't! 300 years and I'm the first Viking who wouldn't kill a Dragon."
"First to ride one, though. So?"
"I wouldn't kill him because he looked as frightened as I was. I looked at him and I saw myself."
"I bet he's really frightened now." Said Serena. "What are you going to do about it?"
"Probably something stupid." Admitted Brendan.
"Good," Said Serena. "But you've already done that."
"Then something crazy." He ran to the arena to think the unthinkable.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"If you're planning on getting eaten," Said Tierno. "I'd go with the Druddigon."
"You're wise to seek help from the world's most deadly weapon." Said Ryan. "That's me."
"I love this plan." Said Gary.
"You're insane." Said Bryan. "You're alright in my book."
"So," Said Serena. "What is the plan?" Brendan lured a Charizard out of its cage without being injured. Gary was about to pick up a spear, but Serena slapped him.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked Brendan.
"It's okay." Said Brendan. Gary placed his hand on the Charizard's head, and the Fire-type Pokemon actually liked Gary. Brendan headed to the inventory of weapons to grab a rope.
"You're going to need something to help you hold on." Said Brendan. Serena, Tierno, Bryan, and Ryan then looked at the other Dragons: a Salamence, a Druddigon, and a Hydreigon. "We're going to rescue Toothless."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Norman's crew used Toothless's echolocation to find Dragon Island, and they finally found it.
"We're here." Said Norman. "Ready the weapons."
In a matter of minutes, large wooden sticks and catapults surrounded half the mountain on the island.
"When we crack this mountain open," Said Norman. "All hell will break loose."
"In my undies." Said a Viking. "Good thing I brought a spare."
"No matter how this ends," Norman continued. "It ends today."
Rocks were launched from the catapult, eventually creating an entrance to a cave. Another catapult launched a fireball, and as it went through the cave, it lit up the inside of the cave, revealing swarms of Dragons on the cave walls and ceiling. Norman, wielding a sledge hammer, charged into the cage with a battle cry, forcing hundreds of Dragons to fly out.
"Is that it?" Asked Dexio. "I would've expected more." Suddenly, Norman heard rumbled from inside the mountain.
"It's not over yet." Said Norman. A large roar echoed from inside the cave. Everyone started running away so they wouldn't get crushed by a sudden avalanche. The mountain cracked open, revealing a gigantic black snake-like Dragon with green bug-like eyes and a crest around its neck. It was Zygarde, the Dragon of all Dragons.
"Holy Arceus!" Exclaimed Dexio. "What is that?!"
"Kobalion, help us." Said Norman. "Fire the catapults!" The catapults fired rocks at the gigantic Dragon, but they were no use. Zygarde crushed them with its vestigial legs and spat huge amounts of mud at the ships, drowning them. With Toothless still strapped to the boat, he was in great danger.
"I was a fool." Said Norman. "Lead the men to the far side of the island! Dexter, go with the men."
"I'd better stay," Said Dexio. "In case you're thinking of doing something crazy."
"I can buy them a few minutes if I give that monster someone to hunt!" Said Norman.
"Then I can double that time." Both of them acted as live bait to distract Zygarde by taunting it or throwing sticks at it. Suddenly, an explosion appeared behind Zygarde's back. The Viking students were riding Dragons. Brendan and Serena were riding a Salamence, Ryan and Bryan were riding a Hydreigon, Gary was riding a Charizard, and Tierno was riding a Druddigon. Everyone else was amazed.
"Every bit the Swinub-headed stubborn Viking you ever were." Said Dexio. Norman simply nodded his head in agreement.
Author's Note: If you're wondering on how I'm going to make Zygarde fly, I will make its flight pattern similar to that of a flying snake.
Kobalion is a Steel/Fighting-type Pokemon that was part of a trio of other Legendary hoofed Pokemon. The other two were the Rock/Fighting-type Terrakion and the Grass/Fighting-type Verizion.

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 11

"It totally makes sense." Said Serena. "It's like a giant Combee hive. They're the workers and that was their Vesipquen. It controls them. Let's find your dad."
"No!" Brendan pleaded. "They'll kill Toothless. We have to think through this carefully."
"Brendan," Said Serena. "We just discovered the Dragons' nest, the thing we've been after since Vikings first settled here, and you want to keep it a secret? To protect your pet Dragon? Are you serious?"
"Yes." Answered Brendan. Serena was surprised.
"What are we going to do?" She asked.
"Just give me until tomorrow." Said Brendan. "I'll figure something out." Serena then punched Brendan.
"That's for kidnapping me." She said, before kissing him on the cheek. "That's for everything else."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, everyone in Cyllage was waiting for Brendan to kill the Monstrous Charizard.
"Well, I can show my face in public again!" Said Norman. "If someone had told me that in a few short weeks, Brendan would go from being a loser to placing first in dragon training, I would have tied him to a mast and shipped him off for fear he'd gone mad! And you know it. But here we are. And no one is more surprised or more proud than I am. Today, my boy becomes a Viking!"
Outside, near the entrance of the arena, Brendan was waiting, hearing what Norman had to say. Serena was by his side.
"Be careful with that Dragon." She said.
"It's not the Dragon I'm worried about." Admitted Brendan.
"What are you going to do?" She asked.
"Put an end to this." He answered. "I have to try. Serena, if something goes wrong, just make sure they don't find Toothless."
"I will." Said Serena. "Just promise me it won't go wrong."
"It's time, Brendan." Said Dexio. "Knock them dead, but not literally." Brendan put on his helmet and entered the ring. Everyone was cheering on him. The only weapons he picked up were a shield and a knife.
"I'm ready." He said. The cage opened, revealing an orange Dragon Pokemon with fire all over its body. It was the Monstrous Charizard. The fire on its body subsided, except for the tip of its tail. It walked out, breathing a devastating Fire Blast. Brendan dropped his equipment and started trying to calm the Charizard down.
"What is he doing?" Asked Norman.
"Hey, it's okay." Brendan said to the Charizard. "It's okay. I'm not one of them." He threw his helmet to the ground. It surprised everyone.
"Stop the fight." Commanded Norman.
"No!" Said Brendan. "I need you all to see this. They're not what you think they are. We don't have to kill them." Before he could place his hand on the Charizard's forehead, Norman banged a piece of metal with a hammer. The Charizard got back into its battle rage and started chasing Brendan.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a faraway distance, Toothless could hear Brendan screaming. He hopped up the rocks, because his sail was closed, and started to clumsily fly to Brendan's aid.
While that was happening, Serena pried the arena door open with her axe and came to Brendan's aid. This did not please Norman. She threw an axe at the Charizard, making him lose him concentration. However, he noticed Serena, and started chasing her. Norman opened the cage and grabbed Serena before she got singed, leaving only Charizard and Brendan in the ring. Charizard grabbed Brendan and was about to use Blast Burn on him, but then, Toothless flew into the ring and started fighting the Fire-type Pokemon. This surprised everyone, because no one has ever seen a Dragonite before. Toothless eventually beat the Charizard, but it didn't end there. In a matter of seconds, Vikings stormed into the ring to slay the Dragonite. This included Norman.
"Dad, he won't hurt you!" Pleaded Brendan. Vikings of all shapes and sizes started tackling Toothless.
"Lock him up with the others!" Ordered Norman. "I have a bone to pick with Brendan."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Norman and Brendan walked into a closet, giving privacy to the both of them.
"I should have known." Said Norman. "I should have seen the signs. We had a deal!"
"I know we did." Said Brendan. "That was before... It's all so messed up."
"So everything in the ring was a trick? A lie?"
"I screwed up. I should have told you before now. I just... Take this out on me, be mad at me, but please don't hurt Toothless!"
"The Dragon? That's what you're worried about? Not the people you almost killed?"
"He was protecting me! He's not dangerous."
"They killed hundreds of us!"
"And we killed thousands of them! They defend themselves, that's all! They raid us because they have to. If they don't bring enough food back, they'll be eaten themselves. There's something else on their island. It's a Dragon like..."
"Their island? So you've been to the nest?"
"Did I say nest?"
"How did you find it?"
"I didn't find it. Toothless did. Only a Dragon can find the island." This gave Norman an idea. He would use Toothless to find their way to Dragon Island and destroy their nest. Brendan tried to stop Norman, but he was too strong.
"You are not a Viking." He said. "You are not my son."

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 10

"We're leaving." Brendan told Toothless, packing up a basket. "We're going on a vacation. A permanent vacation." Suddenly, Serena appeared on a rock.
"I want to know what's going on." She said. "No one gets as good as you do. Especially you. Start talking! Are you training with someone?"
"Training?" Stammered Brendan.
"It better not involve this." Said Serena, holding Brendan by the shirt. She dropped Brendan when she heard a noise.
"Okay, you're right." Lied Brendan. "I've been making outfits." Brendan was trying to block Serena from walking any further, but she cracked his wrist.
"Ow!" Exclaimed Brendan. "What was that for?"
"That was for lying to me." She said, before kicking him. "That's for everything else." Suddenly, Serena heard the noise again. It was a Dragonite!
"Get down!" She told Brendan. "Run, run, run!" Before she could swing her axe to kill Toothless, Brendan pushed Serena out of the way.
"Don't do that." Said Brendan. "You're scaring him."
"I scared him?" Asked Serena.
"Serena, Toothless. Toothless, Serena." Said Brendan. Serena ran off to tell Cyllage.
"Oh no, we're dead." Said Brendan. "Toothless, I have a plan."
Before Serena could reach civilization, Toothless snatched her and dropped her on a tree branch.
"Brendan!" She yelled. "Get me down from here!"
"You have to give me a chance to explain." Said Brendan.
"I am not listening to anything you have to say!" Shouted Serena.
"Then I won't speak. Just let me show you. Please, Serena." He extended his arm towards Serena, and she reluctantly grabbed on.
"Now please get me down." Said Serena.
"Toothless," Brendan told the Dragon. "Down, gently." Instead, Toothless shot like a rocket, causing Serena to scream her lungs out.
"Toothless, what's wrong with you?" Asked Brendan. "Bad Dragon. Sorry, he's not normally like this."
Before both of them knew what would happen next, Toothless took a nosedive, went under some waves in the oceans, and shot back up into the sky.
"Thanks for nothing, you useless reptile." Said Brendan.
"Okay, I am sorry!" Begged Serena. "I'm sorry. Just get me off of this thing." With those words, Toothless flew at a normal pace. When Serena opened her eyes, she saw the clouds. She could see Cyllage from that view.
"Alright, I admit it." She said. "This is pretty cool. It's amazing. He's amazing. So what are you going to do? Your final exam is tomorrow. You'll have to kill a Dragon."
"Don't remind me." Said Brendan.
Toothless's pupils became thin and his antennas began to twitch. He was heading towards what seemed to a cave, with hundreds of other Dragons.  They were carrying food they stole from the Vikings. Charizards, Druddigons, Hydreigons, and Salamence were inside the cave, dropping food down the abyss of the cave.
"It's satisfying to know that all of our food has been dumped down a hole." Said Brendan.
"They're not eating any of it." Said Serena.
Then, a Druddigon dropped a measly Barboach into the hole, only to be eaten by an even bigger dragon. It was black with green bug-like eyes and a crest around its fat neck.
"Alright, bud," Said Brendan. "We have to get out of here now!" Brendan, Serena, and Toothless, along with the other dragons, flew out of the cave.
Author's Note: I am sorry that I will eventually have to kill Zygarde, but I have no other choice. Killing Dialga or Giratina might cause a wormhole, killing Palkia might create a black hole, and killing Kyurem would cause an ice age. Also, if Rayquaza were to get killed, who would stop Groudon and Kyogre from fighting?

How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 9

That night, when he was at home, Brendan was on his desk with an exhausted look on his face, but then he heard his father's footsteps.
"Dad! You're back!" Brendan exclaimed.
"I came looking for you." Said Norman.
"You did?"
"You've been keeping secrets."
"I have?"
"Just how long did you think you could hide it from me?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Nothing happens on this island without me hearing about it. So, let's talk... About that Dragon."
"Oh, Arceus. Dad, I'm so sorry. I was going to tell you. I just didn't know how to..." Norman then gave out a hearty laugh.
"You're not upset?" Asked Brendan.
"What?!" Said Norman. "I was hoping for this!"
"You were?" Asked Brendan.
"And believe me, it only gets better!" Norman continued. "Wait until you spill a Druddigon's guts for the first time! And mount your first Salamence head on a spear! What a feeling! You really had me going there, kiddo! All those years of the worst Viking Cyllage has ever seen. Of course, it was rough. I almost gave up on you. But now, you're a master Dragon slayer! Oh, Tornadus the Mighty! With you doing so well in the ring, we finally have something to talk about. Here's a bit of a gift." He gives Brendan a helmet with Tauros horns on it.
"Wow. Thanks." Replied Brendan.
"It was the same helmet your mother wore." Said Norman. "Wear it proudly. You deserve it. You've held up your end of the deal."
Brendan gave a fake yawn. "Well, look at the time. I should go to bed now. See you tomorrow!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, Brendan and Serena were in the arena, hiding from a Druddigon.
"Stay out of my way!" Said Serena. "I'm winning this thing."
"Please, by all means." Brendan answered. Serena stealthily followed the Druddigon. However, before she could strike, the Pokemon was already sleeping by a dog.
"No!" Shouted Serena. "You, son of a half-Mankey, Ratatta-eating, Trubbish-bucket!
"I guess I'm going now..." Said Brendan.
"Not so fast." Said Dexio, grabbing Brendan with his hook hand.
"I'm kind of late for..." Stuttered Brendan.
"What?!" Asked an angry Serena. "Late for what, exactly?" She held her ax near his neck.
"Quiet down!" Said Norman. "The elder has decided." An elderly man with a blue shirt and a long beard walked into the scene. Dexio placed his hook hand over Serena, but the elder nodded no. When Dexio held his hook hand over Brendan, however, the elder nodded yes.
"You've done it, Brendan!" Said Dexio. "You get to kill the Dragon!" Tierno picked Brendan up and put him on his shoulders.
Author's Note: The 'elder' is none other than the notorious old man from Pokemon Red and Blue.
