The Land before Kanto Chapter 7

And now, the five hungry Pokemon continued their journey. There has never been such a herd before: a Bayleef, a Lairon, an Axew, an Archen, and a Larvitar. All knowing that if they got lost, they would starve, or they would find themselves in the tracks of Earthtooth.

"Sweet Herbs grow where there's lots of water," said Little Leaf. "So we should follow this river." Archie and Dragoon leaned toward the river, but they fell in. Archie popped out of the water to smell something.

"I smell, I smell..." He said. "Hmm, Dragoon." The Axew was on his head, but Dragoon thought it was funny. Then, Little Leaf smelt something.

"Green food!" He said. There were a bunch of trees ahead.

"The great valley!" Declared Erin. "I found it! I found it!" Suddenly, they felt an earthquake.

"We have to get out of here!" Said Little Leaf. Dragoon tried to shove Lars out of cave, but he was too heavy. Then, a herd of Aurorus broke through the rock wall and ate as many leaves as they could.

"Look at them, just look at them!" Complained Erin. "They're so greedy! What about me? I'm still hungry!"

"You still hungry?" Said Archie. "I'm hungry all the way to the top! We made it to the great valley and still have no greed foods! We be hungry forever!"

"Erin was wrong". Little Leaf said to Archie. "This isn't the great valley. Well, we better go down and see if there's anything left."

When the dinosaur Pokemon made it to the tiny forest, there was one tree left.

"Archie, do you think you could fly up there?" Little Leaf asked Archie, but the Archen felt nervous.

"It's okay, Archie." Said Dragoon. "Many things do not fly. Rocks, trees... Lars."

Since Archie was too scared to fly, Little Leaf had to think of a different plan. Little Leaf stood on Lars' back, Dragoon was on Little Leaf's head, and Dragoon was holding Archie. Erin thought it was hilarious.

"You four look so ridiculous!" She said. When the four stacked Pokemon made it to the top, Archie plucked as many leaves as he could. However, this distracted Lars, as he wanted to eat the falling leaves. This caused the tower of Pokemon to tumble, with Archie still hanging onto one leaf. The leaf soon fell off, with Archie floating down, thanks to his wings and his friends blowing on him.

"Did I fly?" Archie asked. His friends just remained silent.

"Hey, Erin!" Little Leaf told the Lairon. "Green food."

"I can get my own green food." She replied. Erin used Head-Butt on a tree, but nothing happened. Little Leaf threw some leaves down to think that she really did shake the tree.

"See?" Said Erin. "I can do it by myself, all by myself." She walked away from the group. "And I'm not afraid of Earthtooth! I hope he doesn't eat any of you!" Dragoon, Archie, and Lars felt scared, so they slept with Erin.

"There is no Earthtooth." Little Leaf said to himself, before he went to sleep all by himself.

Meanwhile, Dragoon was finding it frustrating to fall asleep with Erin, Lars, and Archie snoring, so she eventually sleep-walked towards Little Leaf. She was soon followed by Archie and Lars.

Erin then noticed that everyone left, so she too decided to sleep with Little Leaf and the others to keep warm.
