The Land before Kanto Chapter 8

The next morning, Erin started hearing large footsteps. It was Earthtooth!

"Wake up, wake up!" She told her friends. "He'll eat us! He'll eat us! Run!"

"Erin..." Moaned Little Leaf. However, a large shadow appeared. Earthtooth was going to crush the five Pokemon, but they ran out of the way. Unfortunately, Little Leaf forgot his Sweet Herb, leaving Earthtooth to crush it. The five now needed to escape, so they made it through a hole in the rock wall that was too small for Earthtooth.

"Now do you believe me?" Erin asked Little Leaf.

"At least we are safe." He replied.

"No one's safe when you're around." Replied Erin. Suddenly, the Bayleef noticed something: it was the rock that looks like a Meganium!

"There's the rock that looks like a Meganium, just like my mom said!" Little Leaf exclaimed. "We're going the right way! The way to the great valley!"

Little Leaf had been wrong about Earthtooth, but the others fallowed him. Their only hope was to reach the great valley, and Little Leaf alone knew the way. Although his friends were sore-footed and tired, Little Leaf urged them on. He never seen the great valley, but his heart told him that they were close. However, when they reached the top, it was just a canyon.

"This is your great valley?!" Shouted Erin. "You're crazy. I'm leaving."

"Erin..." Said Little Leaf.

"I'm taking the easy way for once." The Lairon said.

"But it's the wrong way!"

"Who says?"

"My mother!"

"Well, she was a stupid Meganium, too."

"Take that back."

"Never!"

"TAKE IT BACK!"

"No!" The Bayleef and Lairon battled it out while Dragoon, Archie, and Lars hid behind a rock. After the fight, Little Leaf admitted defeat.

"Go on, go the wrong way." Responded Little Leaf, with tears coming out of his eyes. "We never wanted you with us anyway."

"Well, Erin's way is easier." Said Dragoon.

"I think so too." Replied Archie. Little Leaf just continued the right way, which was full of rocks.

"Little Leaf, don't be angry." Pleaded Archie, grabbing onto the Bayleef's tail, but lost his grip and landed on a rock.

"Waaaaaait!" The Archen yelled while the rock slid down. Dragoon decided to follow Erin.

Erin, Dragoon, Archie, and Lars were now dangerously close to an active volcano. Dragoon was riding on top of Lars, but she felt a bit scared.

"I wish Little Leaf was here with us right now." She said.

"Me too." Replied Archie. Suddenly, Lars noticed a yellow-orange stone and started to eat it.

"Lars, do not stop!" The Axew pleaded. "We must be together."

Meanwhile, Archie was on top of Erin, who was walking on the edge of a tar pit. She came across a cliff, so she jumped to the other side. Unfortunately, Archie fell off and into the tar pit.

"Erin, I fell off!" He pleaded.

Thankfully, Little Leaf came to the rescue and notice Dragoon and Lars stranded on a lava isle.

"Help, Little Leaf!" Beaky pleaded.

"Hang on, I'm coming!" Little Leaf said. The Bayleef pushed another rock into the lava, forming a bridge. Now they needed to save Archie from the tar pit. Little Leaf clung his tail to a rock, holding onto Lars, who had Dragoon on his nose. However, it was too difficult, and the four of them got stuck in the tar.

Meanwhile, Erin was lost in a cave, and a group of Rampardos have cornered her. Then, a scary-looking black tar monster appeared on the scene, scaring away the Rampardos. The monster came to Erin and picked her up with its ‘trunk’, even though Erin weighed over 200 pounds.

"Help!" The Lairon yelled. "Little Leaf, Dragoon, Archie, Lars, help!"

"Erin, it is us." Said a familiar voice. It was actually the four of them covered in black slime!

"I knew it was you, all along!" Said Erin. "I did." Little Leaf, Dragoon, Archie and Lars started laughing. Erin left to have some time to herself, but she slipped on the tar, which made the others laugh. Erin simply stuck out her tongue, but she bumped into a stalagmite, making them laugh even harder. Erin now had her feelings hurt.

"We were laughing with you, Erin." Begged Little Leaf. "Come back!"

Erin was too proud to admit that, she gone the wrong way.
Author's Note: The stone that Lars wanted to eat is a Fire Stone, which allows Eevee to evole into Flareon, Vulpix into Ninetales, Growlithe into Arcanine, and Pansear into Simisear.
I was originally going to have the dinosaur Pokemon being stuck in Muk goo, but then I decided that it would be too dangerous and toxic. Also, Grimer and Muk are implied to be man-made.
