The Great
Toon War Chapter 5
The next
morning, everyone on the Classic Cartoon Network campus was once again
listening to Madame Foster.
"Okay,
troops!" She started. "We already covered half of the combatants, and
who will fight who. We have Samurai Jack against Finn..."
"I'll
die with honor." Said Jack.
"The
PowerPuff Girls will fight Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl..."
"We're
the PowerPuff Girls!" Said Bubbles.
"Bloo
will fight Gumball Watterson..."
"A blue
cat?" Said Bloo. "That's ridiculous!"
"Billy
will fight Banana Joe..."
"Grim!"
Billy shouted. "Could I use your scythe?"
"Of
course, not, Billy!" Said Grim. "I gave you too many chances to use
the scythe, but you always end up causing trouble of catastrophic proportions!
Instead, I'm going to give you this butter knife." He hands Billy a small
kid-friendly knife.
"Oh."
Said Billy in disappointment. "This is the best gift ever!"
"Ahem."
Said Madame Foster. "Please let granny continue. Ed, Edd, and Eddy will
fight Flame Princess..."
"How
did I get talked into this?" Double D asked himself.
"Don't
worry, Double D." Said Ed. "I brought all our Canadian Squirt
Guns!" He opened up his jacket and had turkey basters, or as the Eds
called them, Canadian Squirt Guns, stuffed in his pockets.
"Oh
boy!" Said Eddy. "Marshall Eddy is back in business! But where are we
going to get water?" Blossom then flew by and breathed ice on the ground,
then melted it with her heat vision.
"How
convenient." Stated Double D, and the Eds started filling up their Squirt
Guns.
"Grim
will fight Steven Universe..." Madame Foster continued.
"This
will be easier than I thought!" Said Grim, and he let out an evil laugh.
"Mandy
will fight Nicole Watterson..."
"Grim,
could you give me another chicken ball?" Asked Mandy.
"As
long as it leads to your demise!" Said Grim with delight. As he gave Mandy
the chicken ball, he let out another evil laugh.
"Dee-Dee,
when she gets here, will fight Jake the Dog. And finally, Eduardo will fight
Tina Rex."
"A
T-Rex?!" Shouted Eduardo. "Aaaahhhh!!!" He started running for
the hills, but was stopped by Wilt.
"She's
not a brute, Eduardo." Wilt told the cowardly imaginary friend.
"She's actually a nice dinosaur. I bet she'll want to make friends with
you as soon as the battle starts."
"Can I
have a potato?" Asked Eduardo.
"Yes,
you may." Said Eduardo, and he gave Eduardo a sweet potato. Jonny 2x4 then
raised his hand.
"Yes,
Jimmy?" Madame Foster asked.
"It's
Jonny." He said. "And Plank wants to know if he can fight too!"
Everyone suddenly started bursting with laughter. "You don't believe me?
Show them what you got, Plank!" He threw Plank into the air and landed on
his face.
"It's
just a piece of wood!" Said Buttercup. Suddenly, Plank grew to four feet
tall and sprouted branches that would act as arms and legs.
"Just a
piece of wood, eh?" Said Plank. "Where is Jonny?"
"I'm
right here, buddy!" Said Johnny, and Plank walked over to him.
"Jonny."
Said Plank. "Do you have something I can use as a cape?" Jonny
started looking through a bag and pulled out a handkerchief.
"Wow,
Plank." Said Jonny. "You certainly have grown! This cape is too small
for you now. How about this picnic blanket?"
"That'll
do, my comrade." Said Plank, and Johnny tied the blanket on Plank's back.
"Should I send the Eds to jail after they killed my parents?"
"No,
Plank!" Said Jonny. "The Eds are our friends now! Didn't you see
their movie?"
"I
don't think I have." Said Plank.
"Can't
we just continue with the stupid meeting?" Said Mandy.
"Very
well." Said Plank. "Jonny, if you want me to revert to normal, just
clap twice. This also works if you want to summon me." Eddy clapped his
hands twice, and he laughed hysterically.
"Ignore
them, buddy." Said Jonny. He clapped his hands twice, and Plank reverted
to normal.
"Wow.
Imaginary friends!" Said a feminine voice. Everyone looked at the entrance
to the campus. It was Dee-Dee, Dexter's dim-witted and havoc-wrecking sister.
"Is this where the tea party is? Dexter told me there would be one
here."
"This
isn't a tea party, doll face!" Said Eddy. "You're too sissy to be
here!" Dee-Dee then walked toward Eddy.
"What
lies at the bottom of the ocean and shakes?" She asked. "A nervous
wreck! Ha ha ha ha!" Billy and Ed started laughing, too.
"Great."
Said Mandy. "Three idiots to watch over. Why are you here? You're not fit
for fighting."
"That's
not true." Said Dee-Dee. "One time, Dexter and I were turned into
monsters by mistake. We grew to millions of feet tall and starting fighting
like Hokey Monsters!" This caught the attention of Billy.
"Hokey
Monsters?!" He asked. "Which one was it?"
"I don't think they had names." Said
Dee-Dee. "But as we speak, Dexter is working on a modified monster serum
for him and me."
As they
continued talking to Dee-Dee, Madame Foster decided to call another
acquaintance.
"Hello?
Is this Goo?"
"Sorry.
Goo just left for school." It was her mom. "Is there something I can
tell her?"
Tujunga is a real location in California. The Disney movies Zootopia and Moana were animated there.
The chicken ball is from the Billy and Mandy episode 'Chicken Ball Z', which was a spoof on Dragonball Z.
Mandy will use the Chicken Ball against Nicole Watterson (Gumball's mom) in Chapter 13.
The Canadian squirt guns, which were actually just turkey basters, were from the Ed, Edd n Eddy episode 'Know-It-All Ed'.
The incident Plank mentions about Eddy 'killing' Plank's parents is from the Ed, Edd n Eddy episode 'Postcards From The Ed'.
"Yes,
please. Tell her to meet us at Tujunga at 4:00 PM."
