Meanwhile, Kyurem dropped Ghetsis in Unova’s prison. The jail warden looked at the cell Ghetsis was dropped in.
“Ghetsis?” He asked. “Is that you?”
“Long story.” He replied.
“Very well.” Said the warden, sending out Medicham. “My Medicham will read your thoughts and tell me what happened.” Medicham read Ghetsis’s mind, and he was horrified to discover what happened.
“What is it, Medicham?” The warden asked the Meditate Pokemon. The Pokemon replied with ‘Cham! Cham!’
“Oh my Arceus!” The warden exclaimed. “You wanted to strip Pokemon of their powers and turn them into defenseless creatures? A world without Pokemon is like a world without laughter! While not as bad as Rainbow Rocket’s plans from last year, this is still a punishable offense. I sentence you to 30 years in jail, and you better learn to live with Pokemon like everybody else!”
“I never should have eaten that Cheri.” Ghetsis muttered to himself.

The next morning, Joe was in a motel in Apricot City. He woke up and made an announcement.
“Today’s the day!” He said to himself. Suddenly, his phone started ringing. He answered it, and it was Jennifer Spruce on the line.
“Joseph!” She said. “Alex told me that you beat Team Plasma 2.0. Is that true?”
“Yes.” Said Joe. “And yesterday, I got my final Badge from the Mighty Moosages.”
“Excellent, Joseph!” She said. “Before you fight the Elite Four, I want to fight you myself to see if you’re ready. I’ll be in Strawburg when you’re ready.”
“Got it!” Said Joe, hanging up his phone and getting ready for the day.

A few hours later, Joe walked over to Strawburg and entered Spruce’s lab.
“If you want to prove that you can beat the Elite Four,” She began. “You have to defeat me in a Pokemon battle. Go, Decidueye!” Decidueye was sent out.
“I choose you!” Said Joe. “Incineroar!” Incineroar was sent out.
“Decidueye!” Said Jennifer. “Use Low Sweep!” Decidueye smacked Incineroar with her strong leaves, dealing about 80 Hit Points to the Heel Pokemon. It also lowered his Speed by one rank.
“Incineroar!” Said Joe. “Use Darkest Lariat!” Incineroar swung both his arms and hit Decidueye, leaving the Arrow Quill Pokemon with half her HP.
“Decidueye!” Said Jennifer. “Use Air Slash!” Decidueye attacked Incineroar with a blade of air that could even slice the sky, dealing 50 Hit Points to the Heel Pokemon.
“Incineroar!” Said Joe. “Use Fire Punch!” Incineroar lit his left front paw on fire and hit Decidueye, and the Arrow Quill Pokemon fainted.
“Great start!” Said Jennifer, returning Decidueye to her Poke Ball. “Go, Talonflame!” Talonflame was sent out.
“You did a good job, Incineroar!” Said Joe, returning the Heel Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Relicanth!” Relicanth was sent out.
“Talonflame!” Said Jennifer. “Use Steel Wing!” Talonflame smacked Relicanth with his tough wings, dealing 50 Hit Points to the Longevity Pokemon.
“Relicanth!” Said Joe. “Use Stone Edge!” Relicanth stabbed Talonflame with sharp stones, leaving the Scorching Pokemon with a quarter of his HP.
“Talonflame!” Said Jennifer. “Use Hyper Beam!” Talonflame fired a powerful beam at Relicanth, leaving the Longevity Pokemon with 65% of her HP.
“Relicanth!” Said Joe. “Use Rock Slide!” Relicanth hurled boulders at Talonflame, and the Scorching Pokemon fainted.
“Two down, five to go!” Said Jennifer, returning Talonflame to his Poke Ball. “Go, Crawdaunt!” Crawdaunt!” Crawdaunt was sent out.
“Excellent, Relicanth!” Said Joe, returning the Longevity Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Breloom!” Breloom was sent out.
“Breloom!” Said Joe. “Use Force Palm!” Breloom delivered a shock wave to Crawdaunt, leaving the Rogue Pokemon with 60% of her HP.
“Crawdaunt!” Said Jennifer. “Use Avalanche!” Crawdaunt summoned an avalanche that cut Breloom’s HP in half.
“Breloom!” Said Joe. “Use Sky Uppercut!” Breloom attacked Crawdaunt with an uppercut thrown skyward with force, and the Rogue Pokemon fainted.
“You have done a great job raising your Pokemon.” Said Jennifer, returning Crawdaunt to her Poke Ball. “Go, Pachirisu!” Chusonese Pachirisu was sent out.
“You deserve a rest, Breloom!” Said Joe, returning the Mushroom Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Wormadam!” Wormadam was sent out.
“Pachirisu!” Said Jennifer. “Use Bullet Seed!” Chusonese Pachirisu spat out seeds that dealt about 50 Hit Points to Wormadam.
“Wormadam!” Said Joe. “Use Earthquake!” Wormadam shook the ground violently, leaving the Dark Squirrel Pokemon with a quarter of her HP.
“Pachirisu!” Said Jennifer. “Use Super Fang!” Chusonese Pachirisu ran towards Wormadam and bit her so hard that it cut her HP in half.
“Wormadam!” Said Joe. “Use Bug Buzz!” Wormadam emitted a powerful buzzing noise that managed to knock out Chusonse Pachirisu.
“You’re on fire like Charmander during a heatwave!” Said Jennifer, returning the Dark Squirrel Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Ribombee!” Ribombee was sent out.
“You did a great job, Wormadam!” Said Joe, returning the Bagworm Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Aggron!” Aggron was sent out.
“Ribombee!” Said Jennifer. “Use Quiver Dance!” Ribombee performed a beautiful mystical dance that raised her Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats.
“Aggron!” Said Joe. “Use Iron Tail!” Aggron swung at Ribombee with his mighty tail, leaving the Bee Fly Pokemon with a quarter of her HP.
“Ribombee!” Said Jennifer. “Use Energy Ball!” Ribombee fired a ball of energy at Aggron, but it did little damage to the Armor Pokemon.
“Aggron!” Said Joe. “Use Iron Head!” Aggron charged into Ribombee with lots of force, and the Bee Fly Pokemon fainted.
“Just two more to go!” Said Jennifer, returning Ribombee to her Poke Ball. “Go, Machamp!” Machamp was sent out.
“That was excellent, Aggron!” Said Joe, returning the Armor Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Xatu!” Xatu was sent out.
“Xatu!” Said Joe. "Use Psychic!" Xatu attacked Machamp with a strong telekinetic force, leaving the Superpower Pokemon with half his HP.
“Machamp!” Said Jennifer. “Use Thunder Punch!” Machamp slugged Xatu with an electrified fist, leaving the Mystic Pokemon with half his HP.
“Xatu!” Said Joe. “Use Air Slash!” Xatu attacked Machamp with a blade of air that could even slice the sky, and the Superpower Pokemon fainted.
“That leaves me with one more Pokemon!” Said Jennifer, returning Machamp to his Poke Ball. “Go, Metagross!” Metagross was sent out.
“You deserve a rest, Xatu!” Said Joe, returning the Mystic Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Krookodile!” Krookodile was sent out.
“Krookodile!” Said Joe. “Use Foul Play!” Krookodile turned Metagross’s power against it, leaving the Iron Leg Pokemon with half its HP.
“Metagross!” Said Jennifer. “Use Hammer Arm!” Metagross slammed Krookodile with its left front leg, leaving the Intimidation Pokemon with 40% of her HP.
“Krookodile!” Said Joe. “Use Earthquake!” Krookodile shook the ground violently, and the Iron Leg Pokemon fainted.
“Goodness gracious!” Said Jennifer, returning Metagross to its Poke Ball. “It seems like you are ready to fight the Elite Four. Good luck, Joseph!”
“Thanks!” Said Joe, returning Krookodile to her Poke Ball. “Now to head to a Pokemon Center!” Joe headed to a Pokemon Center to heal his Pokemon and pick the right team.
