On November 27th, 2013, the world was introduced to Norwegian sisters Anna and Elsa with the mega blockbuster Disney hit Frozen. It got very good reviews, much to the annoyance of some, earned more than a billion dollars at the box-office, won the Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, and spawned lots of merchandise as well as two short films and even a LEGO TV special.
After six years, Frozen 2 has finally came out. Will it be worth melting for, or should it be sent back to the Southern Isles? Let's find out.
Set three years after the original film, Anna and Elsa are living happily in Arandelle. However, when Elsa accidentally angers the Elemental Spirits, she, Anna, Kristof, Sven, and Olaf go on an adventure far away from Arandelle into the unknown to save their kingdom.
Now, what do I think of this movie? Well, I liked it more than How To Train Your Dragon 3, but less than Toy Story 4. Frozen 2 is a movie that builds upon the original film with a story that challenges our favorite girls, gorgeous animation, memorable new songs, and some funny moments with Olaf. There’s a scene in which Olaf in gives a recap of Frozen 1 that’s outright hilarious!
Much like Toy Story 4, there’s been a question on everyone’s mind: How did Elsa get her powers? Unfortunately, I can’t answer that, but let’s just stay it’s like Avatar: The Last Airbender.

If I were to complain about one thing, I feel that some of the new characters, like Ryder the reindeer rider, could’ve been fleshed out more.
In conclusion, Frozen 2 is a film that fans of the original will enjoy immensely, though it’s a little darker than the original.
Rating: 3.8 stars out of 5.
