As with every other Pokémon game, in the latest entries Sword and Shield, the player has to choose between a Grass, Fire, and Water-Type Pokémon. In this case, Galarian Trainers will have to choose between the Grass-Type primate Grookey, the Fire-Type rabbit Scorbunny, and the Water-Type reptile Sobble. Anyway, I distributed Grookey, along with its evolved forms Thwackey and Rillaboom, to the jungles of Congo, Africa.
Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace live in the forests of Mexico, where they practice soccer with rocks or cocoanuts. It's unfortunately endangered because of catching for illegal trade, poaching, agriculture, and ironically, forest fires.
Sobble, Drizzile, and Inteleon live on the island of Madagascar, where it lives alongside Togedemaru, Sableye, and Passimian. Sobble cries like a Togepi, but once it evolves into Drizzile, it trades its sensitivity for laziness. Inteleon has several hidden capabilities, such as fingertips that can shoot water and a sail on its back that enables it to glide.
Blipbug, Dottler, and Orbeetle are this generation's traditional three-stage Bug-Type Pokémon. Orbeetle, the red one, is Bug/Psychic, which helps it repel unwanted pests like Weedle, Venonat, and Dustox. These Pokémon live worldwide in gardens and forests.
Gossifleur and Eldegoss are new Grass-Type Pokémon in case the player didn't choose Grookey. These flower Pokémon are domesticated by florists and botanists, but originally came from Europe and Australia.
These Electric-Type dogs are Yamper and Boltund. They are used to herd hooved Pokémon like Wooloo, Tauros, and Grumpig. Yamper and Boltund are a domesticated species, but originally came from Europe.
Like previous Pokémon games, Sword and Shield features Normal-Type rodents/mustelids you can catch early in the game. In this case, players can catch Skwovet (left), which evolves into Greedent (right). These Pokémon live all over the world in forests, and have even become invasive in some countries.
I personally think these two new Pokémon, Nickit and Thievul, are unnecessary, since Purrloin and Liepard (who are also pure Dark-Types) return. Not to mention that there are already several fox Pokémon including Vulpix, Fenneckin, Zorua, and to a lesser extent, Eevee. Anyway, I distributed Nickit and Thievul to South America, since I felt that there weren't enough predators in that continent.
Wooloo and Dubwool are Normal-Type sheep that won't electrocute you if you try to shave them. Like Yamper and Boltund,, they were domesticated by humans, but originally came from European grasslands and mountains.
These Pokemon are Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. Rookidee and Corvisquire are pure Flying, like Tornadus, while Corviknight is Steel/Flying, like Skarmory. These Pokémon can be found in North America and Europe.
Chewtle and Drednaw are freshwater relatives of Squirtle, native to every continent except for Africa and Antarctica. Chewtle (left) is pure Water, while Drednaw (right) is Water/Rock. Watch out for their jaws; They can bite down and never let go.
Sizzlipede and Centiskorch are Bug/Fire, like Larvesta and Volcarona. These Pokémon are very dangerous, with the ability to constrict their pray like a snake, burn up to 1,500 degrees, and very sharp fangs. Because of this, I distributed Sizzlipede and Centiskorch to the Pacific Islands, where they won't be able to leave.
These cute Fairy-Type Pokémon are Milcery and Alcremie. Milcery has a strange method of evolving: After receiving a Strawberry, you have to twirl around with the Pokémon back and forth until it evolves into Alcremie. Because Alcremie produces delicious whipped cream, it is kept by many restaurants and ice cream parlors.
Geodude, Graveler, and Golem do not return for Pokémon Sword and Shield. Instead three new Rock-Type Pokémon take their place: Rolycoly, Carkol, and Coalossal. Rolycoly (left) is pure Rock, while Carkol (middle) and Coalossal (right) are Rock/Fire like Magcargo. I distributed these Pokémon underground, though Coalossal gets angry when people mine for coal.
Carvanha and Sharpedo unfortunately don't return for Pokémon Sword and Shield. Instead, there are two new aquatic predators: Arrokuda and Barraskewda. These Pokémon live in the ocean, but prefer tropical waters.
Duraludon is a Dragon/Steel-Type Pokémon, the same Type as Dialga. I unfortunately made this Pokémon extinct because of its tremendous strength; It lived in North America during the Jurassic Period. With its unique Typing and tough armor, its only predator was Gyarados.
An apple Pokémon? Seriously, GameFreak (the creators of Pokémon)? Anyway, Applin, like Eevee, Tyrogue, and Burmy before it, can evolve into either Flapple or Appletun, depending on if it's given a Sweet Apple (into Appletun) or Tart Apple (into Flapple). I distributed these Pokémon to forests in Central Asia, where apples originally came from.
These strange Pokemon are Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl. They have the unique Dark/Fairy-Type combo, making them immune to both Psychic and Dragon-Type attacks. Because of this and their devil-like traits, I decided to ban them.
Hatenna, Hattrem, and Hatterne are Psychic-Type Pokémon that are new to Sword and Shield.
Because of their mistrust towards humans, strong powers, and an overabundance of Human-Like Pokémon, I unfortunately banned the Hatenna line. Not to mention that there many Psychic-Type Pokémon that I did keep.
Phanpy and Donphan don't return for Sword and Shield, but instead, there are two new elephant
Toxel and Toxtricity were a tough one: After much thinking and discussion with personal friends, I decided that these Electric/Poison-Type Pokémon will live in Australia, where they appear near power plants (either electric or nuclear). Toxel (the small purple one) will evolve into either Amped Toxtricity (the yellow and purple one) or Low Key Toxtricity (the blue and purple one) depending on its nature.
These snake Pokémon are Silicobra and Sandaconda. These, along with Runerigus, are the only new Ground-Type Pokémon in the game. Rather than eating meat like Arbok or Seviper, these Pokémon eat sand. Silicobra and Sandaconda live in Africa and the Middle East.
This Jekyll/Hyde Guinea pig is called Morpeko. It has the unique Type combination Electric/Dark, making it a new threat to Xatu, Swoobat, and Drifblim. Anyway, with it's Ability Hunger Switch, it will randomly be happy (yellow) or hangry (purple). These Pokémon live in Europe.
These Pokémon are not regional variants of Audino: They are new Pokémon called Indeedee. Male Indeedee have horns that face up, while females have horns that face down. These Pokémon are Normal/Psychic, like Girafarig and Oranguru, and they live in Asia.
I'm personally not that interested in the design of Falinks: I think it looks more like something that came out of a Kirby game. Anyway, I distributed these Fighting-Type Pokémon to Greek and Roman ruins.
Finally, another aquatic bird Pokémon other than Pelipper or Swanna! Cramorant, which is based on the cormorant, is a gluttonous Water/Flying-Type Pokémon that has a strange method of attacking: It upchucks an Arrokuda whenever it takes damage after going underwater.
However, since I distributed this Pokémon all over the world, it may also scoop up a Magikarp, Feebas, Basculin, or Remoraid.
These Ghost-Type Pokémon are Sinistea and Polteageist. When exposed to an old teapot, Sinistea (left) will evolve into Polteageist (right). These Pokémon live in abandoned houses and mansions, where they live in either teacups (like Sinistea) or teapots (like Polteageist).
These Pokémon are Snom and Frosmoth, which have an interesting new Typing of Bug/Ice. These bugs live in the Arctic, where they live alongside Beartic, Delibird, and Alolan Ninetales. However, it may go extinct in the next 30 years due to climate change.
These Pokémon are Clobbopus and Grapploct. You'd think that since these are octopuses, they'd be Water/Fighting, right? Wrong. They are unfortunately pure Fighting, in which there are about 25 other species with that exact Type. Anyway, I distributed Clobbopus and Grapploct to the Great Barrier Reef.
I personally think we don't need a sea urchin Pokémon, but I don't see what harm Pincurchin would do in our world. These Pokémon live in the oceans of the world, where they eat seaweed and electrocute predators like Huntail, Sharpedo, and Tentacruel if they feel threatened.
I know many fans are already criticizing Eiscue for its design, but I think it's nice to have another penguin Pokémon other than Piplup. Anyway, this Pokémon has the Ability Ice Face, in which the ice cube on its head shatters if it takes damage, revealing a worried defenseless Eiscue. These Pokémon live in Antarctica, though climate change is making it harder for it to freeze its head.
This large Pokémon is called Stonjourner. This Rock-Type Pokémon lives in Stonehenge, England, and sometimes form weird circles.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are the first games since X and Y to feature original Fossil Pokémon. This time, there are four single-stage Fossil Pokémon instead of just two 2-stage Pokémon. However, none of them are part Rock. First up is Dracozolt, which is Electric/Dragon. This beast lived in North Africa during the Cretaceous Period.
This Pokémon is Arctozolt, which has the unique Ice/Electric-Typing. It lived in Central Europe about 49 million years ago, where it would electrocute fish Pokémon and store them in its icy body. It went extinct because it moved so slowly.
Dracovish, a Water/Dragon-Type Pokémon, lived in Australia during the Early Cretaceous Period. This Pokémon would eat Omanyte, Tirtouga, and Magby. Unfortunately, overhunting its own prey drove Dracovish to extinction.
Arctovish was the earliest Ice-Type Pokémon, and it lived in the oceans of the Devonian Period. This Pokémon went extinct because it had trouble eating and breathing (despite being a fish).
Dreepy, Drakloak, and Dragapult are Ghost/Dragon-Type Pokémon, like Giratina. Draragult helped people win WW2 by shooting down enemy planes with Dreepy as the ammo. These Pokémon live across Europe in abandoned WW2 sites.
Zacian and Zamazenta are the Version-exclusive Legendaries for Sword and Shield. What you see here are their alternate forms. Without their armor, Zacian and Zamazenta look like this.
Like many other Legendaries, I unfortunately banned these Pokémon because 1. I feel that they would feel miserable if kept in captivity. 2. They could cause great destruction if kept in the wrong hands. 3. Because of their popularity, everyone would want one, despite their only being one of each Legendary in existence. However, I did keep 19 Legendaries: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew, Suicune, Latios, Latias, Manaphy, Cresselia, Shaymin, Heatran, Tornadus, Thundorus, Landorus, Terrakion, Magearna, Marshadow, Meltan, and Melmetal.
This strange Pokémon is Eternatus, the first-ever Poison-Type Legendary. It's also the largest Pokémon ever, at 65 feet long, more than twice as large as Steelix. Because of this Pokémon's size and power, I made Eternatus banned.
After years and years of asking and asking and asking, Farfetch'd finally has an evolution: Sirfetch'd. However, both Galarian Farfetch'd (the brown one) and Sirfetch'd (the white one) are pure Fighting instead of Normal/Flying. I personally would've liked it if they were Fighting/Flying. Anyway, I distributed these Pokémon to Europe and Asia.
Weezing that live in Galar are Poison/Fairy instead of just Poison. This Pokémon eats bad air and expels healthy air. Because of this, I distributed Galarian Weezing to cities across the planet that have both clean and filthy air.
Ponyta and Rapidash return for Sword and Shield, but are Psychic instead of Fire-Types. These Pokémon are unfortunately endangered because poachers use their luxurious manes to make into Dragon-Proof clothes (since Galarian Rapidash is part Fairy). Anyway, I distributed these Pokémon to Africa.
Yamask also returns for Sword and Shield, but is Ground/Ghost instead of just Ghost. It can also evolve into a new Pokémon, the strange-looking Runerigus. I distributed these Pokémon to ancient ruins in Sweden, Norway, and India.
Galarian Meowth is the result of breeding a regular Meowth with the Steel-Type Pokémon Mawile and Excadrill. Instead of being Normal, Galarian Meowth and its evolved form Perrserker are Steel-Type Pokémon. I made this choice because I believe that the closest domestic cat breed to Perrserker is the coon cat.

Galarian Stunfisk are the result of Stunfisk that ate mud with high iron. These Pokémon are Steel/Ground, like Steelix and Excadrill. These fish, unlike regular Stunfisk, are more adaptable to different environments, and live in the Atlantic Ocean.
Galarian Mr. Mime is the result of Mime Jr. that were raised in Scandinavian cities, dating back to the 1910s. They were influenced by the work of Charlie Chaplin, and instead of acting like, well, mimes, they decided to dance, and thus, Galarian Mr. Mime has evolved. It has also evolved a third form, Mr. Rime, which has become as popular as any silent actor from the 1920s.
Darumaka and Darmanitan return for Sword and Shield, but are Ice instead of Fire. Instead of living in Sri Lanka like their Fire-Type counterparts, Galarian Darumaka and Galarian Darmanitan live in the Himalayas, though they are very hard to come by.
And if you're wondering about Dynamax and Gigantamax forms, I banned them: A Gigantamax'd Pokémon in the suburbs would be the equivalent of dinosaurs living in the Cenozoic Era.
