Remember how more than five years ago, I retold Disney's Mulan but with Nicktoons characters, and had Lincoln from The Loud House play the main lead? Well, I decided to remake the story, as in make small changes and fix typos I had with the original. I also made this because of my frustration with The Loud House Movie, which is not exactly bad, but was rather disappointing when it came to high-quality animated movies from 2021 with The Mitchells vs the Machines, Luca, and Encanto. To put it simply, The Loud House Movie suffered from a story that violates the world of The Loud House universe with dragons and ghosts, characters that were either dumbed down or used poorly, unnecessary songs, and poor integration of Flash and CG animation. It baffles me that we live in a world where there's a good live-action Dora the Explorer movie AND a PAW Patrol movie that managed to do better financially than Raya and the Last Dragon! This is another reason why I decided to repost my older story 'A Loud Legend' to prove that there CAN be a good Loud House movie if put in the right hands, perhaps someone like Mark Dindal or Doug Sweetland.
As for who plays who in A Loud Legend Redux, it will mostly be the same as the last time. Lincoln, as stated earlier, will play Fa Mulan, Craig from Sanjay and Craig will play Mushu, Ronnie Anne Santiago, Lincoln's former Hispanic love interest on The Loud House, will play Li Shang, Oonski the beaver viking from Breadwinners will play Shan Yu, etc. However, one character will be replaced: The Emperor, who was played by Really Really Big Man from Rocko's Modern Life in the original, will now be played by Mayor Dixie from Hey Arnold.
As for what else I changed, I also cut the song 'A Girl Worth Fighting For', as I felt it was bit unnecessary for my version of Mulan. I also made some small tweaks so it doesn't feel like a shot-for-shot remake.
A Loud Legend Redux will premiere Labor Day September 5th.
