How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 4

"So why didn't you?" Brendan asked himself. He was now in the woods where he released the Dragonite. He peeked into a clearing with a big lake in it. There were yellow scales on the ground, meaning Dragonite was close. Dragonite itself flashed by Brendan's eyes, but had trouble flying up a rock wall. Brendan got out his sketchbook and drew a quick sketch of the Pokemon.
"Why don't you just fly away?" He asked. Brendan then dropped his pen by mistake, getting the Dragonite's attention. It was his savior, Brendan.

Later that night, everyone was having dinner, though Brendan came in a bit late.
"Where did Serena go wrong in the ring today?" Asked Dexio.
"I mistimed my somersault dive." She said. "It was sloppy. It threw off my reverse tumble." Dexio then noticed Brendan enter the room.
"Where did Brendan screw up?" He asked.
"He showed up." Said Bryan.
"He didn't get eaten." Said Ryan.
"He's never where he should be." Said Serena.
"Very funny, Serena." Said Dexio with a sarcastic and annoyed tone. "You need to live and breathe this stuff. The Pokemon Handbook. Everything we know about every Pokemon we know of." He then heard a thunderstorm. "No attacks tonight. Study please."
"Wait, we have to read?" Gasped Ryan.
"Why read words when you can just kill the stuff the words tell you stuff about?" Asked Gary.
"I've read it six times." Said Tierno. "There's this Water-Type Dragon that can create whirlpools every time it moves. And there's this other one that..."
"Yeah, that sounds great." Said Ryan. "I was going to read that..."
"But now I lost interest." Said Bryan.
"You guys read, and I'll do some training." Said Gary. Eventually, only Brendan and Serena were left in the mess hall.
"I guess it's just me and you now." Said Brendan.
"I read it before." Said Serena, before storming off.
"I guess it's all mine then." Declared Brendan.
Brendan brought the book back to his house, sat at a table, and lit up a candle. He opened up the book and started to read.
"'Gyarados, the Atrocious Pokemon. Once it appears, it's rage never settles until it has razed the fields and mountains around it. There are records of this Pokemon rampaging for a full month.'" Brendan turned the page.
"'Garchomp, the Mach Pokemon. It flies at speeds equal to a Talonflame. It never allows its prey to escape.'" He turned the page.
"'Dragalge, the Mock Kelp Pokemon. Their poison is strong enough to eat through the hull of a ship, and they spit it indiscriminately at anything that enters their territory.'" A thunderclap sounded, and Brendan continued reading.
"'Sceptile, the Forest Pokemon. This agile Pokemon has very sharp edges on its leaves. Druddigon. Hydreigon. Eelektross. Marowak. Onix. Burns its victims, chokes its victims, buries its victims, lulls its victims to sleep." Brendan kept flipping and flipping through the book until he found the Dragonite page.
"Dragonite. Size: Unknown. Speed: Unknown. The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. Never engage this Pokemon. Your only chance: hide and hope it doesn't find you.'" Brendan got out his sketchbook of the Dragonite he saw and placed it on the Dragonite page of the Pokemon Handbook.
Author's Note: The Water-Type Dragon that can create whirlpools every time it moves is Kingdra.
I am aware that Garchomp's Pokedex entry states it can fly as fast as a jet plane, and not a Talonflame, but planes in general didn't exist during this time.
I am also aware that Marowak is a mammalian Pokemon, but it's the only species of Pokemon I could think of that uses bones, besides Cubone, of course.
