How To Train Your Dragonite Chapter 8

When Norman and his crew came back from searching for Dragon Island, the ship was damaged from a storm.

"Did you find the nest at least?" Asked Dexio.

"Not even close." Answered Norman. "I hope you had more success than me."

"Well, if by success," Said Dexio. "You mean that your parenting troubles are over, yes."

"Congratulations, Norman!" Shouted a villager. "Everyone is so relieved!"

"Out with the old and in with the new!" Said another.

"We're throwing a party to celebrate!" Said another.

"He's gone?" Asked Norman.

"For most afternoons, but who can blame him?" Answered Dexio. "The life of a celebrity's rough. He can barely walk through the village without being swarmed by his new fans."

"Brendan?" Asked Norman.

"Who would have thought it?" Dexio went on. "He has this way with the beasts."

On another part of the island, Brendan was flying Toothless effortlessly.

"Okay, bud." He said. "We're going to take this nice and slow." Brendan put his foot on a peddle, opening Toothless's sail. They flew sideways, downwards, and through an arch. They also accidentally bumped into two boulders, and because of that, Toothless whacked Brendan with his antenna. They then flew upwards over a mountain, but then, Brendan flew off of Toothless, and without Brendan, Toothless can't fly properly. They were falling through the air at a high speed, but Brendan managed to grab the saddle. They flew downwards again above a forest, through some rock crevices, and mistakenly, through a wall of fire created by Toothless.

When they finally landed, they decided to have some lunch. Brendan didn't have anything, but Toothless had a Basculin. Suddenly, a hoard of Heliolisk arrived with balloons strapped to their backs. When one of them stole a Surskit, another Heliolisk shot a jolt of lightning at him. Another tried to escape with an Octillary, but Toothless stopped him by using Dragon Rage right before the Heliolisk could use Thundershock, briefly inflating him like a balloon.

"Not so fireproof on the inside, are you?" Remarked Brendan. He gave the dazed Heliolisk a Clauncher. He ate it quickly and walked towards Brendan, wanting the human to pet him.

"Everything we know about you guys is wrong."
Author's Note: I am aware that pond skaters, in which Surskit is based on, is not edible, but frilled lizards, in which Heliolisk is based on, eat insects.
