"Former
mayor Mary Shockwool is under bars today," Said the Liepard. "Guilty
of masterminding the savage attacks that have plagued Poketropolis of
late."
"Her
predecessor, Leroy Tajiri," The Cobalion began. "Denies any knowledge
of her plot, claiming he was trying to protect the city." The scene then
cut to an interview with Leroy.
"Did I
falsely imprison those Pokémon?" He asked. "Well, yes. Yes I did. It
was a classic 'doing the wrong thing for the right reason' kind of a
deal." The scene then cut back to the Liepard.
"In related news," She said.
"Doctors say the Night Howler antidote, which is made from Persim Berry
leaves, is proving effective in returning the affected predators back to
normal."
In the
Seaweasel apartment, Red was in a hospital bed, and he woke up. His wife Violet
was by his side.
"Red?" She asked. "Oh, Red!"
Violet ran towards the Floatzel and gave him a hug. "Thank you,
Dawn." Dawn was happy that she turned Poketropolis back to normal.
The next
day, Dawn was giving a speech to the citizens of Poketropolis.
"When I
was a kid," She began. "I thought Poketropolis was this perfect
place. Where everyone got along and anyone could be anything. Turns out real
life's a little more complicated than a slogan on a bumper sticker. Real life
is messy. We all have limitations, and we all make mistakes. Which means, hey,
glass half-full, we all have a lot in common. And the more we try to understand
one another, the more exceptional each of us will be. But we have to try. So no
matter what kind of Pokémon you are, from the biggest Nidoking to our first Dark-Type, I implore you to try. Try to make the world a better place. Look inside
yourself and recognize that change begins with you. It starts with me. It stars
with all of us." Zach then walked up to the stage and was giving an
official police badge.
"Congratulations, Zach Wilde." She said.
"You are now a real cop." Everyone cheered, roared, howled, growled,
and squeaked with joy and excitement.
The next
week, Zach began his first day as a cop at the PPD.
"Attention,
cadets!" Said Chief Taki. "We have some new recruits with us this
morning, including our first Dark-Type, Officer Wilde. Who cares?"
"Ha!"
Said Zach. "You should have your own line of inspirational greeting cards,
sir."
"Shut your mouth, Wilde!" Demanded Taki.
"Assignments. Officers Luke, Fangmire, Takamoto. Snowpoint Falls
SWAT." A Lucario, Arcanine, and Luxray got up and headed to Snowpoint
Falls. "Hugo, Electro Mane, Wulfric. Undercover." A Hippowdon,
Manectric, and Beartic then put on disguises and left. "Lopps, Wilde.
Parking duty. Just kidding! We have reports of a street racer tearing up Pewter
Avenue. Find him and shut him down."
Dawn and
Zach headed out in a real police car, but were going rather slow.
"Are
all Normal-Type Pokémon bad drivers, or is it just you?" Zach asked. Dawn
stopped the car, and he got a Pawpsicle stuck to his eyelid.
"Oops."
Dawn said sarcastically. "Sorry."
"Sly
Lopunny." Said Zach, pulling the Pawpsicle off his eyelid.
"Dumb
Zoroark." Said Dawn.
"You
know you love me." Said Zach.
"Do I
know that?" Replied Dawn. "Yes. Yes, I do." The two of them then
saw a streak of red zoom by, and they chased after the car. When they finally
stopped him, they couldn't believe who it was.
"Well,
if it isn't Speed." Said Zach.
"Zaaaach."
Speed replied slowly.
The End
Author's Note's: In the video games: it's clearly stated that no two Pokémon are identical, even if they're the same species.
A Persim Berry will cure a Pokémon of confusion if it eats one.
Pewter Avenue is named after Pewter City in Pokémon Red and Blue, as well as the remakes Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen.
Well, that was my final Pokemon story, Poketropolis! On October 1st, I will review Smallfoot!
