"You all live in this forest with metal trees without eating one another?" Asked a hornbill.
"That is correct." Said Judy. "It's been like that for at least a millennium, though Zootopia wasn't founded until 1916."
"What do the carnivores eat more eat?" Asked a goose.
"They eat fish, insects, crustaceans, and mollusks." Said Renato. "Speaking of which, a sea bass pie would sound delicious right now! If anyone needs me, I'll be in Tundra Town at the Blubber Chef restaurant." He then went off to Tundra Town to have sea bass pie for dinner.
"What about us?" Asked a gecko. "We need homes."
"Follow me, former slaves." Said Chief Bogo. "We'll get paperwork sorted out and you'll have homes in no time. As for the birds, they can pick whatever habitat they desire. Fangmire, pull out a map! Higgins, send the unconscious owl to Cliffside Asylum." Fangmire gets a map out of his pocket and unfolds it, and the birds all look at it.
"Marsh Market sounds nice." Said an albatross.
"We'll go to Glacier Falls." Said a puffin.
"I choose Goatshorn!" Said a dark-eyed junco." The birds soon all flew (or in the case of the boobies and the quails, walk) to their new homes in Zootopia: The puffins head off to Glacier Falls, the quails off to Chestnut Hills, the geese, boobies, and spoonbills off to Muddy Swamp, the albatrosses off to Marsh Market, the macaws, hornbills, and Bali mynas off to The Canopy, fruit doves and ibises off to Vine Country, birds of paradise and aracaris off to Ficus Grove, cardinals, blue jays, and swallows off to Acorn Heights, ravens off to Gnu York, dark-eyed juncos off to Goatshorn, and cranes off to Sahara Square's Oasis. However, the harpy eagles, golden eagles, hawks (except for Cory), owls, secretary birds, hamerkops, and kookaburras are skeptical on eating fish, since they were used to eating mammals and reptiles.
"What are you still doing here?" Asked Nick. "That crazy owl doesn't control your life anymore! You're free as, well, birds!"
"We know that." Said a harpy eagle. "But what if we don't like fish? I tried a frog once, and it was disgusting!"
"Luckily, I know the reptile for the job!" Said Nibbles. "Follow me to Marsh Market!"

Nick, Judy, and the predatory birds followed Nibbles to Marsh Market, where they see a basilisk lizard swimming in the water. When he got out, Nibbles noticed he was wearing Sailor Meown swimming trunks.
"What?" Asked the lizard. "You never seen a lizard wearing a Magical Cat bathing suit before?" A kookaburra started licking his beak.
"Whoooo the heck are you?" Asked a great horned owl.
"The name's Jesus." Said the lizard as he dried himself off and put on cowboy garb. "I used to be secluded to a secret hideout, but thanks to Nick and Judy, we reptiles are no longer outcasts! What can I do for you today?"
"You're not freaking out that you're surround by birds?" Asked Judy.
"It's not what you look like on the outside." Said Jesus (pronounced hey Zeus). "It's your action that matters the most. What do these birds want?"
"Cory says that fish taste good," Said a kookaburra. "But we beg to differ."
"Ooh!" Jesus exclaimed. "Looks like you've never tried fish from my new friend Buford. Luckily, he's not too far!" He ran across the water to find Buford. A few minutes later, an elephant seal jumped out of the water and plopped on the dock with Jesus following in pursuit.
"Hello, feathered friends!" Said the seal. "My name is Buford, and is that Nick and Judy? I want to thank you so much for thwarting Lynxley's plans to destroy Marsh Market. Where would we live if our home got covered in snow? Aside for the walruses, that is."
"Well, the hippos always have Sahara Square." Joked Nick, only to get punched by Judy.
"The birds here need to try fish." Jesus explained.
"Well, you came to the right seal!" Said Buford. "Does anyone have a grill and some fish?" A river otter came by pushing a grill, while a marine iguana came by carrying a large box of fish.
"While the seal is cooking," Said Nick. "I'll see if I can find a table." Nick went off to find a table while Buford cooked the fish.
"And they're done!" Claimed the elephant seal. "Get yourself plates and grab a fish while they're hot!" Another river otter came by with plates while Nick came back with a foldout table.
"And where did you get that table?" Judy asked while Nick unfolded the table.
"The Shell Hut loaned it to me in exchange for three dozen Pawpsicles." Nick answered back.
"And where will you get these Pawpsicles?" Asked Judy.
"I'll buy them instead of taking advantage of Zootopia's ecosystems." Answered the fox. While the mammals were talking, the birds ate Buford's fish one by one, and to their surprises, they love it.
"This is much better than sloths!" Said a harpy eagle.
"You're right, Cory." Said a hawk. "Fish are just as tasty as mammals and reptiles!
"I wish my beak was bigger." Said a secretary bird.
"Well, my work here is done." Said Buford as he jumped into the water.
"It's great and all," Said a hamerkop. "But with all the animals living here, aren't you afraid of the city running out of fish?"
'Don't worry your feathers about it!" Said Nick. "The fish here reproduce like rabbits." Judy was offended by what Nick said. The birds soon finished their meal, and they were ready to find a spot in Zootopia to live in.
"Can you get the map out, again?" Asked a golden eagle. Judy got out her phone to showcase the map of Zootopia. After a few minutes, all the birds (except for Cory started flying to different locations: The harpy eagles move to Vine Country, the owls to the Nocturnal District (located in the Rainforest District), the hawks to Downtown Zootopia, the golden eagles to Rocky Peak, the secretary birds to the Palm District, and the kookaburras to Reptile Ravine.
"Are you still afraid of birds?" Cory asked Judy.
"Not anymore." She replied.
"Well, I decided where I will live." Said the hawk. "I will live on the roof of your apartment. Great Armadillo Claws?"
"Grand Pangolin Arms." Judy corrected.
"Well, I'll live on the rooftops of the Grand Pangolin Arms." Cory proclaimed.
"I don't mean to ruin the mood," Nick interrupted. "But birds still need to sign paperwork and wear clothes."
"And you need to make Pawpsicles for that mammal you borrowed a foldout table from." Judy quipped back.

The next day, the dolphin bartender at The Shell Shack was serving customers, regardless of species.
"It seems that fox forgot to give me those Pawpsicles." He said. "Guess I should know better than to trust a fox."
"Don't say that." Said Emmett Otterton. "He and Judy helped me last year! My wife is grateful to her to this very day." Suddenly, an albatross arrived carrying a large Floatzen cooler.
"Delivery for Mr. Bottlenose." Said the albatross as he dropped the cooler on the counter and flew off. The dolphin opened the cooler and was surprised: There were three dozen Pawpsicles inside.
"Ooh, Pawpsicles!" Said Emmet. "When Nick was a con artist, I'd buy a Pawpsicle from Nick whenever I had the chance. Can I have one?"
"Five sand dollars." Replied Mr. Bottlenose.
Author's Notes: All the locations mentioned on the map (except for the Nocturnal District) are taken from a map of the city at the Disneyworld attraction Zootopia: Better Together.
Renato wishing for a sea bass pie is another reference to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in which it's one of hundreds of dishes you can cook in the game.
In Zootopia 2, along with Gary De'Snake, Nick and Judy also meet a basilisk lizard named Jesus. Like I said in Chapter 3 of the story, Jesus has non-reptiles eat worms the first time they meet.
Some of the background animals in Zootopia 1 wear shirts with a Sailor Moon cat on it. This hippo calf who says one of my favorite line in the whole movie is wearing this shirt.
In Zootopia 2, one of the bars at Marsh Market is called The Shell Hut, probably run by a dolphin.
Judy's apartment is called the Grand Pangolin Arms, run by an armadillo who delouses the rooms once a month for free.
In Zootopia 1, Nick and his pint-size partner Finnick would take advantage of Zootopia's ecosystems to melt giant ice pops into juice and refreeze them as Pawpsicles. Emmet Otterton, who's a florist for Mr. Big the Arctic shrew and member of the naturalist club, bought a Pawpsicle right before he went missing.
In the world of Zootopia, since humans don't exist, human and human-like characters are replaced with animal counterparts. Floatzen, the Zootopia version of Frozen, depicts Anna and Elsa as river otters and Kristoff as a moose.
