"I can't believe it worked!" Said Gifuto.
"I am a genius." Declared Kimba.
"Hey genius, it was my idea." Said Gifuto.
"Well, I pulled it off." Said Kimba.
"With me." Said Gifuto.
"Oh, yeah?" Said Kimba. He and Gifuto started to fight playfully.
"Pinned ya." Said Gifuto. The two tackled each other and fell off a cliff.
"Pinned ya, again." Steam burst out of the ground. The Cubs were now in the Donphan graveyard.
"Wow!" The cubs said in unison.
"Sure is freaky." Gifuto said.
"Yeah." Kimba replied, looking at a Donphan's skull.
"I wonder if its brains are still in there." Said Gifuto.
"Well, there's only one to find out." Said Kimba. "We'll go inside and check."
"Wrong!" Said Xazu. He finally caught up with Kimba and Gifuto. "The only checking you'll do is to check out of here. We're way beyond the boundaries of the Pride lands."
"Look, Nanab Beak is scared." Kimba taunted Xazu.
"That's Mr. Nanab Beak to you, fuzzy!" Said Xazu. "And right now, we're all in very real danger."
"Danger, huh!" Replied Kimba. "I walk on the wild side. I laugh in the face of danger. Ha ha ha ha!" Suddenly, real laughter came from inside the skull.
"Well, well, Akuto." Said a voice. "What do we have here?" It was a Growlithe.
"I don't know, Yabani!" Said another Growlithe. "What do you think, Oroka?"
A third Growlithe came out, but this one didn't talk, but he managed to understand Akuto's question.
"That's what I thought." He said. "A trio of trespassers!"
"By accident, I assure you!" Said Xazu.
"Oh, I know you." Said Yabani. "You're Raion's little stooge."
"I, madam, act as the king's major domo!" Xazu corrected the Growlithe.
"And that makes you..." Akuto said, gesturing at Kimba.
"The future king!" Kimba replied.
"Do you know what we do to kings who step out of their kingdom?" Yabani asked.
"You can't do anything to us." Said Kimba defiantly.
"Technically, they can." Xazu said. "We are on their land."
"But Xazu..." Said Kimba. "You said they're nothing but slobbery, mangy, stupid poachers."
"Ix-nay on the upid-stay." Said Xazu.
"Who are you calling upid-stay?" Akuto demanded.
"My, my, my." Said Xazu. "Look at the time. We better get going."
"What's the hurry?" Asked Akuto. "We'd love you to stay for dinner. We could have whatever's 'lion' around! A-ha-ha!"
"Oh, I got one." Said Yabani. "Make mine a 'cub' sandwich." As the other two Growlithe were making lion puns, Oroka noticed the two Shinx and Xazu run away. He tried to get their attention, but Yabani thought he was just fooling around.
"What, Oroka? What is it?" She asked angrily.
"Hey, did we order this dinner to go?" Asked Akuto.
"No." Answered Yabani. "Why?"
"'Cause there it goes!" The dog Pokémon noticed their 'dinner' run off, so they went after them.
"Did we lose them?" Gifuto asked Kimba.
"I think so." Kimba answered. "Where's Xazu?"

Meanwhile, the Growlithe had Xazu captive and tried to walk him to a lava pit.
"The major domo bird hippity-hopped all the way to the birdy boiler." Said Growlithe in a taunting tone.
"Not the birdy boiler!" Pleaded Xazu. "Aaahhh!" He was sent flying.
"Hey." Said Kimba. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"
"Like you?" Asked Yabani.
"Oops." Went Kimba. The Growlithe chased Kimba and Gifuto until the cubs finally got cornered.
"Here, kitty, kitty!" Said Akuto. Kimba tried to scare them off with a mighty roar, but all that came out was a growl.
"That's all you got?" Asked Yabani. "Do it again."
When Kimba tried to roar the second time, there was a real roar, but this one came from Raion. He came to rescue Kimba and Gifuto.
"Oh, please, please." Said Akuto. "Uncle, uncle."
"Silence!" Commanded Raion.
"Okay, we'll shut up right now." Said Akuto.
"Calm down. We're really sorry." Said Yabani.
"If you ever come near my son again..." Growled Raion.
"Oh, this is your son?" Yabani said.
"Oh, your son?" Akuto said.
"Did you know that?" Yabani asked Akuto.
"No. Me? I didn't know." Akuto replied. "No, did you?"
"No, of course not." Yabani replied.
"Oroka?" They asked the dim-witted Growlithe, but he just shook his head yes. This made Raion roar.
"Toodles." Said Akuto, before they ran off. Xazu flew near Raion with a grin, but the Luxray was not pleased.
"Dad, I..." Said Kimba.
"You deliberately disobeyed me." Said Raion. "Let's go home."
"I thought you were really brave." Said Gifuto, trying to cheer up Kimba. Little did they know that Kizuato was watching them.
Author's Notes: In the Pokemon world, fruit are somewhat scarce. Instead, there are many fictional species of Berries with names based upon real-life fruit and vegetables. Nanab is one of them, being based on a banana. However, regular bananas grow off the neck of the Pokemon Tropius, a Grass-type sauropod.
