And the somewhat underappreciated fish Pokémon Finneon and Lumineon.
I
distributed these two to South American because Finneon's name is a
play on 'fin' and 'neon', as in neon tetra. They're a small but popular
species of fish that are often kept as pets.
These fish are native to South America, and are in fact, related to the piranha!
Lumineon
is based on the angelfish, which also lives in South America. In fact, in the South American section at the New England Aquarium, the angelfish and neon tetra tanks are almost next to each other, indicating that both fish live in South America. However, Finneon and Lumineon are saltwater, while neon tetras and angelfish are freshwater.
*Oricorio's appearance and Type depends on what nectar it drinks. If it drinks red nectar, it becomes Fire/Flying. If it drinks yellow nectar, it becomes Electric/Flying. If it drinks pink nectar, it becomes Psychic/Flying. And finally, if it drinks purple nectar, it becomes Ghost/Flying.
