Meanwhile, at an apartment, a giant purple Muppet was sleeping in bed. His friend Marc Fazakas was pretending to be a news reporter.
"Good morning, Muppetopolis." He started. "It is now five minutes past 6am in the big Muppet city. Temperatures are a balmy 60 degrees, which is good news for you reptiles, and it's the perfect day to lie in bed, sleep in, or simply... Lose all this flab that's hanging over the bed! Get up, Splurge!" He pressed the button on a foghorn and woke up Splurge.
The two then began starting to do workout, or at least for Splurge. He did push-ups, practiced scaring kids, pushed furniture around, and brushed his teeth, despite only having one tooth. While Splurge was doing sit-ups, Marc noticed something on TV; the commercial they recorded for Muppets Inc last week!

While Splurge was doing sit-ups, Marc noticed something on TV; the commercial they recorded for Muppets Inc last week!
TV announcer: The future is bright at Muppets Incorporated.
Marc wanted to sit in the big chair, but Splurge plucked him up and put him in the little chair.
TV announcer: We power your car, we warm your home, we light your city.
"I'm Muppets Incorporated!" Said a female pig with blonde hair (but not Miss Piggy).
"Hey, look! Annie!" Said Splurge.
TV announcer: Carefully matching every child to their ideal monster to produce superior scream refined into clean, dependable energy. Every time you turn something on, Muppets Incorporated is there.
"I'm Muppets Incorporated." Said a pink catfish-like Muppet with crazy hair.
TV announcer: We know the challenge. The window of innocence is shrinking. Human kids are getting harder to scare.
JP Grosse: Of course, MI is prepared for the future. With the top scarers...
On TV, Splurge roars in a kid's bedroom, causing the kid to scream. While watching that scene, Marc beat Splurge on the back in excitement.
JP Grosse: And breakthroughs in new training techniques.
"Here I come." Said Marc. The TV then cut to a group shot of the factory team, but Marc's head was blocked by an M.
Splurge (on TV): We're working better tomorrow, today!
Everyone: We're Muppets Incorporated!
JP Grosse: We're MI: Muppets Incorporated. We scare because we care.
After the commercial finished, Marc was left speechless.
"I don't believe it." He said. "I was on TV! Did you see me? I was a natural!" Suddenly, the phone rang. Marc picked up the phone and it was Splurge's mom, and she was delighted about the commercial.
"Did the whole family see it?" Marc asked Splurge's mom. "What can I say? The camera loves me."Author's Notes: Annie Sue was Miss Piggy's rival on The Muppet Show, starting in Season 3.
The pink catfish-like Muppet with crazy hair is Clifford, voiced by Kevin Clash, who was also the original voice and puppeteer for Elmo. Clifford made his debut on The Jim Henson Hour, and was later the host of Muppets Tonight.
Clifford will appear again in Chapter 5.
