Muppets Inc Chapter 3

Outside, it was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Marc and Splurge were heading off to work.
"I'm telling you, big daddy." Marc said to Splurge. "You're going to see this face on TV more often."
"Oh, yeah?" Asked Splurge. "Like on Bear on Patrol?" Marc just laughed mockingly.
"You've been jealous of my good looks since the fourth grade, pal." Said Marc. He was about to grab the handle to the door of his car, but Splurge pulled him away.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Marc, there is a scream shortage." Answered Splurge. "We're walking."
"Walking?"
"Yep."
"No! My sweet baby! Look, she needs to be driven. Bye, baby. I'll call you!" Marc and Splurge continued walking.
"Want to know why I bought the car?" Marc asked.
"Not really." Answered Splurge.
"To drive in it!" Responded Marc. "With the honk-honk and the vroom-vroom?"
"Give it a rest, will you, Marc?" Asked Splurge, annoyed about Marc talking about his car. "Come on, you could use the exercise."
"I could use the exercise?" Asked Marc. "Look at you! You have your own climate!" The two Muppets then walked by some young frogs playing with a bunny. They were playing jump rope, with a frog's tongue as a rope.
"Morning, Marc! Morning Splurge!" Said a young frog. It was Robin the Frog, Kermit's nephew.
"Hey, morning kids!" Greeted Splurge.
"Bye, Marc! Bye, Splurge!" Said the frog with his tongue as the rope. However, the bunny got tangled in the tongue and got launched into a window, hitting a face with no head or body.
As Marc and Splurge continued their walk, they got greeted by wild animal chef, Yves St. La Roche.
"He, fellas!" Greeted Yves with a French accent. "I hear somebody's close to breaking the all-time scare record."
"Just trying to make sure there's enough scream to go around." Said Splurge. Yves tossed Splurge a radish and Marc an apple. The two Muppets continued on their walk, and encountered a gigantic blue foot.
"Hey, Thog!" Shouted Splurge. "Good-morning!"
"Hello." Thog bellowed with an echo in his voice. The streetlight turned green, and Thog continued walking.
"See, Marky? Thog's walking to work." Splurge pointed out.
"Big deal." Said Marc. "He takes five steps and he's there."
Authors' notes: Bear on Patrol was a sketch that appeared on The Muppet Show, starting in Season 3. In this sketch, Fozzie Bear and Link Hogthrob, a pig, are cops, and Link was the chief. However, he wasn't very bright, so sometimes he would unintentionally let the criminal get away.
