Muppets Inc Chapter 7

The work day soon came to a close, and Splurge scored lots of scares. Just a few more and the scare record is broken. As Marc was about to see Miss Piggy, he bumped into Gladys.

"Hello, Fazakas." She said. "Fun-filled evening planned for tonight?"

"Well, as a matter of fact..." Marc was interrupted by Gladys.

"Then I'm sure you filed your paperwork correctly...for once." This scared Marc stiff. "Your stunned silence is very reassuring." When Gladys left the scene, Marc started to panic.

"Oh, no. My scare reports." He said. "I left them on my desk and if I'm not at the restaurant in five minutes they're going to give our table away! What should I tell... Miss Piggy?" She showed up right in front of Marc.

"Hey, Googley-Bear." She said. "Want to get going?"

"Do I ever!" Said Marc. "It's just that..."

"What?" She asked. Marc was at a loss of words.

"I forgot to file his paperwork today." Splurge intervened. "Marc was just reminding me."

"I was?" Asked Marc, but then he understood the plan. "I was! Yeah, I was."

"Okay, then, Marky." Said Piggy. "We should get going."

"We're going!" Responded Marc. He then whispered into Splurge's ear. "It's on my desk, Splurge. The pink copies go to accounting, the fuchsia ones go to purchasing, and the orange ones go to Gladys. Leave the chartreuse!" Piggy then grabbed Marc so they could go to the restaurant.

It was now rather late in the night, and Splurge was getting Marc's paperwork. However, when he turned around he saw an active door. He asked around to see if anyone knew about this door lying around, but no one answered. Splurge went inside closet to see if there were any monsters in there, but there happened to be none. Suddenly, Splurge felt scratching on his left foot. He looked around and was terrified at what he saw: a human child! He picked the girl up with a pair of tongs and put her back in her room, but when he looked around, she was back! He picked the girl up by her shirt and placed her in her bed. Splurge fell in some of her toys and tripped out. A blanket, a drawing, a rubber ducky, and a mobile got caught on the full-bodied Muppet. Suddenly, Splurge saw a familiar figure come into view: it was Lenny! He ran to the bathroom to flush the toys down a toilet, but it just clogged it up. Instead, Splurge put the toys in a locker. Splurge was about to walk out of the locker room, but then, he saw the kid again! When the kid got Splurge cornered, the Muppet grabbed a bag from on top of a locker and scooped the child up. He then ran back into the scare floor, but then noticed something in the girl's bedroom. He hid behind the door, right before it was returned to the gigantic door vault, and saw Lenny with a cart of canisters. When Lenny left the room, Splurge went off to Finmiddag to warn Marc. He also brought the bag for evidence.
Author's Note: The rubber ducky is an obvious nod to Ernie's rubber ducky on Sesame Street.
