Muppets Inc Chapter 9

On TV, the Muppets Newsman was having a newsflash.

"Here is a Muppets Newsflash!" He said. "For the first time in Muppet history, a human child has been let loose from her room, and is now running amok in Muppetopolis. We will now give you a glimpse of some of the witnesses of the crime." The scene then cut to multiple interviews with Muppets who claimed they've seen the child.

"Well, a kid flew right over me and blasted a car with his laser vision!" Said a Bossman.

"I tried to run from it," Said Behemoth. "But it picked me up with its mind powers and shoot me like a doll."

"It's true!" Said Blind Pew, who wasn't even facing the camera. "I saw the whole thing!"

"We now bring you to Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, PHd." Said the Newsman. Right by his side was a yellow Muppet with a melon-shaped head, glasses but no eyes, and a lab-coat.

"It is my professional opinion," Said Bunsen. "That now is the time to panic!" The TV got knocked over by the child, who was now in Marc and Splurge's apartment. Splurge was wearing a colander on his head and holding a trashcan lid as a shield, while Marc was wearing scuba gear and oven mitts. They hid behind Splurge's chair to hide from the kid. The kid found the two Muppets, and they retreated to near a window. Outside, CDA helicopters were searching for the child, so Splurge pulled down the shades so they wouldn't notice. The girl got off the chair and pulled the spring on the shade, making the window open again. Marc picked her up with a broom and sprayed the area with disinfectant. Suddenly, the girl pulled a CD from the bottom of a CD stack, making the stack topple.

"No, those were Johnny Fiama's best." Complained Marc. "That's okay. As long as it doesn't come near us, we'll be okay." Then the girl sneezed in Marc's eye. Marc tried spraying his eye, but then it stung real bad!

The girl them cornered Splurge on top of his chair. He spotted Marc's teddy bear and threw it to distract the girl. Marc then noticed her hugging his bear, Radar, and took it away from her. This caused her to cry her lungs out, making the lights in the building go haywire. This caught the attention of a helicopter, but Marc pulled the shade down again. Splurge then tried to cheer up the child by holding the bear and making him sing, but then she touched his hand, causing him to scream, which caused her to scream. Marc tried to get Radar, but he tripped on a lamp, fell in a trashcan, and got hit on the head with an MP3 speaker. This caused the girl to laugh so hard that it caused a power outage in the building.

"What was that?" Asked Splurge.

"I don't know," Said Marc, who was half stuck in the trashcan. "But it would be really great if it didn't happen again." The girl chuckled, but Splurge told her to shush.
Author's Notes: Bossmen were tall Muppets that were originally part of a 1971 stage show with Nancy Sinatra. These large characters would later make occasional appearances on The Muppet Show.
 
Behemoth is another Muppet who has a habit of eating other Muppets. He originally appeared in The Muppet Show, and later appeared in Muppets Tonight and 2011's The Muppets.
 
Blind Pew was a character in the movie Muppet Treasure Island, in which he hunts down for Billy Bones' treasure map. As his name implies, Blind Pew cannot see, and causes a ruckus at Jim Hawkins' home.
 
Johnny Fiama was a recurring character on Muppets Tonight, and was a singer on the show. He was a bit of a parody of the legendary Frank Sinatra.
 
Radar happens to be the name of Big Bird's teddy bear on Sesame Street.
