Joe entered the room with the boxing glove symbol on it, and he faced Koji, who specializes in Fighting-Type Pokemon.
“My name is Koji.” He told Joe. “Ever since I was a young boy, I wanted to be like my idol, Bruno.”
“You mean that Fighting-Type E4 member from Kanto?” Joe asked.
“Exactly!” Replied Koji. “But unlike Bruno, all my Pokemon are part Fighting, none of this Onix duo nonsense! Go, Kommo-o!” Kommo-o was sent out.
“I choose you!” Said Joe. “Rapidash!” Galarian Rapidash was sent out.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Play Rough!” Galarian Rapidash played rough with Kommo-o, and the Scaly Pokemon fainted.
“How on Earth did your Rapidash manage to defeat my Kommo-o with one blow?” Koji asked while returning Kommo-o to her Poke Ball.
“Rapidash helped me win against the Hoenn Elite Four!” Joe proclaimed.
“Very well.” Said Joe. “Go, Pawpunch!” Pawpunch was sent out.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Psycho Cut!” Galarian Rapidash lashed at Pawpunch with his mighty horn, leaving the Prehensile Tail Pokemon with half his HP.
“Pawpunch!” Said Koji. “Use Iron Tail!” Pawpunch slugged Galarian Rapidash with the fist on the end of his tail, leaving the Unique Horn Pokemon with 75% of his HP.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Psychic!” Galarian Rapidash attacked Pawpunch with a strong telekinetic beam, and the Prehensile Tail Pokemon fainted.
“Luckily, my next Pokemon has fewer weaknesses!” Said Koji, returning Pawpunch to his Poke Ball. “Go, Gallade!” Gallade was sent out.
“You deserve a rest, Rapidash!” Said Joe, returning the Unique Horn Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Talonflame!” Talonflame was sent out.
“Talonflame!” Said Joe. “Use Acrobatics!” Talonflame nimbly attacked Gallade and left the Blade Pokemon with half his HP.
“Gallade!” Said Koji. “Use Night Slash!” Gallade lashed at Talonflame with his mighty arms, dealing 70 Hit Points to the Scorching Pokemon.
“Talonflame!” Said Joe. “Use Fly!” Talonflame flew high to the ceiling and struck Gallade, making him faint.
“Time to bring out the big guns!” Said Koji, returning Gallade to his Poke Ball. “Go, Hitmonlee!” Chusonese Hitmonlee was sent out.
“Great as usual, Talonflame!” Said Joe, returning the Scorching Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Rapidash!” Galarian Rapidash was sent out.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Dazzling Gleam!” Galarian Rapidash emitted a powerful flash of light, and Chusonese Hitmonlee fainted.
“Luckily, my next Pokemon has a Type to counter popular Types!” Said Koji, returning the Kicking Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go Hitmonchan!” Chusonese Hitmonchan was sent out.
“That was excellent, Rapidash!” Said Joe, returning the Unique Horn Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Skuntank!” Skuntank was sent out.
“Hitmonchan!” Said Koji. “Use Mega Punch!” Chusonese Hitmochan lunged towards Skuntank and delivered a powerful punch, leaving the Skunk Pokemon with half her HP.
“Skuntank!” Said Joe. “Use Poison Gas!” Skuntank emitted a foul odor that poisoned Chusonese Hitmonchan.
“Hitmonchan!” Said Koji. “Use Dizzy Punch!” Chusonese Hitmochan tried to slug Skuntank with another strong punch, but the attack missed thanks to her Stench Ability. He also took damage from poison.
“Skuntank!” Said Joe. “Use Venoshock!” Skuntank drenched Chusonese Hitmonchan with a special poisonous liquid, leaving the Punching Pokemon with 60% of his HP.
“Hitmonchan!” Said Koji. “Use Sky Uppercut!” Chusonese Hitmonchan attacked Skuntank with an uppercut thrown skyward with force, and the Skunk Pokemon fainted. The Punching Pokemon also took damage from poison.
“You did your best, Skuntank!” Said Joe, returning the Skunk Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Rapidash!” Galarian Rapidash was sent out.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Psychic!” Galarian Rapidash hit Chusonese Hitmonchan with a strong telekinetic force, and the Punching Pokemon fainted.
“I still have one more chance!” Said Koji, returning Chusonese Hitmonchan to his Poke Ball. “Go, Hitmontop!” Chusonese Hitmontop was sent out.
“You deserve a rest, Rapidash!” Said Joe, returning the Unique Horn Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Quagsire!” Quagsire was sent out.
“Hitmontop!” Said Koji. “Use Head Smash!” Chusonese Hitmontop crashed into Quagsire using his rock-hard head, dealing great damage to the Water Fish Pokemon. This attack also would’ve done recoil damage to the Hand-Stand Pokemon, but he had the Ability Rock Head with him.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Aqua Tail!” Quagsire smacked Chusonese Hitmontop with her mighty tail, leaving the Hand-Stand Pokemon with 65% of his HP.
“Hitmontop!” Said Koji. “Use Revenge!” Chusonese Hitmontop attacked Quagsire with both his huge feet and spiked tail, leaving the Water Fish Pokemon with half her HP.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Earthquake!” Quagsire shook the floor violently, and the Hand-Stand Pokemon fainted.
“That was an excellent battle!” Said Koji, returning Chusonse Hitmontop to his Poke Ball. “Go fight the next two E4 members.” Joe returned Quagsire to her Poke Ball, healed his Pokemon, and entered the room with a swirl on its door.
