Joe entered the big door, and he saw another familiar face: N!
“N!?” Joe exclaimed. “You’re the Champion of Chuso?”
“In the flesh.” Replied N. “I’ve heard that you’ve beaten Team Plasma 2.0 before they had the chance to turn Pokemon into animals.”
“How did you know?” Asked Joe.
“I used to work with them myself.” Answered N. “Ghetsis was also my dad, but I’d rather not talk about it. Go, Omastar!” Omastar was sent out.
“I choose you!” Said Joe. “Shiftry!” Shiftry was sent out.
“Shiftry!” Said Joe. “Use Leaf Blade!” Shiftry lashed at Omastar with her sharp leaves, leaving the Spiral Pokemon with 20% of his HP.
“Omastar!” Said N. “Use Pin Missile!” Omastar fired missiles from his head onto Shiftry, dealing 60 Hit Points to the Wicked Pokemon.
“Shiftry!” Said Joe. “Use Giga Drain!” Shiftry drained Omastar of his HP, and the Spiral Pokemon fainted.
“You’re doing great so far, Joseph.” Said N, returning Omastar to his Poke Ball. “Go Cleflame!” Cleflame was sent out.
“Excellent as usual, Shiftry!” Said Joe, returning the Wicked Pokemon to her Poke Ball .”Go, Quagsire!” Quagsire was sent out.
“Cleflame!” Said N. “Use Wake-Up Slap!” Cleflame slapped Quagsire silly, dealing 40 Hit Points to the Water Fish Pokemon.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Aqua Tail!” Quagsire smacked Cleflame with her mighty tail, leaving the Fairy Pokemon with half her HP.
“Cleflame!” Said N. “Use Minimize!” Cleflame shrunk herself to the size of a Caterpie, raising her evasiveness by one rank.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Earthquake!” Quagsire shook the ground violently, making Cleflame faint and grow back to her original size.
“One of the Pokemon you just sent is one I also have.” Said N, returning Cleflame to her Poke Ball. “Go, Shiftry!” Shiftry was sent out.
“You did a great job, Quagsire!” Said Joe, returning the Water Fish Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Talonflame!” Talonflame was sent out.
“Shiftry!” Said N. “Use Fake Out!” Shiftry used his leafy blades and slapped Talonflame with them, making her flinch. The Wicked Pokemon also got burned by Talonflame’s Flame Body Ability.
“Shiftry!” Said N. “Use Extrasensory!” Shiftry attacked Talonflame with an odd unseeable power, leaving the Scorching Pokemon with 85% of her HP. Shiftry also took damage from her burn.
“Talonflame!” Said Joe. “Use Acrobatics!” Talonflame struck Shiftry nimbly, dealing a great amount of damage to the Wicked Pokemon.
“Shiftry!” Said N. “Use Whirlwind!” Shiftry summoned a whirlwind that forced Talonflame into her Poke Ball and replaced her with Crabominable.
“How convenient.” Replied Joe. “Crabominable, use Ice Punch!” Crabominable slugged Shiftry with his mighty fist, and the Wicked Pokemon fainted.
“Good thing I have another Fossil Pokemon with me.” Said N, returning the Wicked Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Kabutops!” Kabutops was sent out, and he had a Focus Sash tied to his forehead.
“Nice finishing move, Crabominable!” Said Joe, returning the Woolly Crab Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Shiftry!” Joe’s Shiftry was sent out.
“Ironic.” Said N.
“Shiftry!” Said Joe. “Use Leaf Tornado!” Shiftry attacked Golem by encircling him in sharp leaves, leaving the Shellfish Pokemon with 1 Hit Point left.
“Kabutops!” Said N. “Use X-Scissor!” Kabutops lashed at Shiftry with his sharp scythes, dealing a great amount of damage to the Wicked Pokemon.
“Shiftry!” Said Joe. “Use Low Sweep!” Shiftry delivered a swift kick at Kabutops, and the Shellfish Pokemon fainted.
“How did your Shiftry get so strong?” Asked N, returning Kabutops to his Poke Ball.
“Simple.” Said Joe. “Lots and lots of training.”
“Interesting.” Said N. “Luckily, my next Pokemon has only three weaknesses! Go, Crustle!” Crustle was sent out.
“You deserve a rest, Shiftry!” Said Joe, returning the Wicked Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Quagsire!” Quagsire was sent out.
“Crustle!” Said N. “Use X-Scissor!” Crustle slashed at Quagsire with his sharp claws, leaving the Water Fish Pokemon with 70% of her HP.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Hydro Pump!” Quagsire fired lots of water at Crustle, leaving the Stone Home Pokemon with half his HP.
“Crustle!” Said N “Use Rock Blast!” Crustle hurled four boulders at Quagsire, dealing little damage to the Water Fish Pokemon.
“Quagsire!” Said Joe. “Use Rock Slide!” Quagsire hurled boulders at Crustle, leaving the Stone Home Pokemon with a quarter of his HP and making him flinch.
“Now’s your chance!” Said Joe. “Finish him off with Earthquake!” Quagsire shook the floor violently, and the Stone Home Pokemon fainted.
“Time to take out my ace!” Said N, returning Crustle to his Poke Ball. “Go, Zoroark!” Zoroark was sent out, but it took the form of a Kabutops.
“You did your best, Quagsire!” Said Joe, returning the Water Fish Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Crabominable!” Crabominable was sent out.
“Zoroark!” Said N. “Use Flamethrower!” Zoroark breathed very hot flames at Crabominable, dealing serious damage to the Wooly Crab Pokemon.
“Crabominable!” Said Joe. “Use Brick Break!” Crabominable delivered a quick punch to Zoroark, leaving the Illusion Fox Pokemon with half his HP.
“Zoroark!” Said N. “Use Focus Blast!” Zoroark heightened his mental focus and unleashed his power, making Crabominable faint.
“That was great, Crabominable!” Said Joe, returning the Wooly Crab Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Rapidash!” Galarian Rapidash was sent out.
“Rapidash!” Said Joe. “Use Dazzling Gleam!” Galarian Rapidash emitted a powerful flash that knocked out Zoroark, making him change back to his original form.
“I still have one more chance!” Said N, returning Zoroark to his Poke Ball. “Go, Dragapult!” Dragapult was sent out.
“Great save, Rapidash!” Said Joe, returning the Unique Horn Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Skuntank!” Skuntank was sent out.
“Dragapult!” Said N. “Use Dragon Darts!” Dragapult shot Skuntank twice with his Dreepy, which returned to the Stealth Pokémon after hitting the Skunk Pokemon.
“Skuntank!” Said Joe. “Use Night Slash!” Skuntank lashed at Dragapult with her sharp claws, leaving the Stealth Pokemon with half her HP.
“Dragapult!” Said N. “Use Dragon Rush!” Dragapult flew up to the ceiling and tried to strike Skuntank, but the attack missed thanks to her Stench Ability.
“Skuntank!” Said Joe. “Use Dark Pulse!” Skuntank released a horrible aura imbued with dark thoughts, leaving the Stealth Pokemon with a quarter of his HP.
“Dragapult!” Said N. “Use Thunderbolt!” Dragapult dropped a wicked bolt of lightning on Skuntank, leaving the Skunk Pokemon with 10% of her HP.
“Now’s your chance!” Said Joe. “Use Payback!” Skuntank attacked Dragapult with all her might, and the Stealth Pokemon fainted.
