Joe's Adventure in Chusp Chapter 13A

Soon enough, Ghetsis returned on White Kyurem to the recently built Castle Ghetsis, though he wasn’t pleased.

“You call this a castle?!” Ghetsis yelled.

“We only had a few days to build it.” Said a Grunt.

“Well, at least it’s big enough to house 50 different Pokemon.” Replied Ghetsis. Soon, Joseph could be seen flying on Talonflame, and she was getting ready to land.

“Look, boss!” Said another Grunt. “It's that kid who beat Rainbow Rocket last year!”

“Oh, Rapidash feathers.” Said Ghetsis, rushing inside the ‘castle’. “Grunts! Attack Joe with the best of your Abilities!” The Grunts sent out Pokemon like Liepard, Amoonguss, Garbodor, and Watchog, but Joseph beat them all easily with Machamp and Bronzong.

“It’s no use stalling, Ghetsis!” Said Joe. “I already saved the world once, and you can’t stop me from doing it again!” He entered the ‘castle’, but was shocked to see what happened to Ghetsis. “Is it me, or do you look younger?”

“Yes, in fact.” Ghetsis replied. “I touched one of Xerneas’s crystals a few days ago, and this happened. You’re not gonna stop me from turning Pokemon into animals! Go, Fearow!” Fearow was sent out.

“I choose you!” Said Joe. “Golem!” Alolan Golem was sent out.

“Fearow!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Drill Run!” Fearow crashed into Alolan Golem while rotating his body like a drill, leaving the Megaton Pokemon with one Hit Point.

“Golem!” Said Joe. “Use Thunder Punch!” Alolan Golem slugged Fearow with an electric fist, leaving the Beak Pokemon with half his HP.

“Fearow!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Steel Wing!” Fearow tried to smack Alolan Golem with his wings, but luckily, the attack missed.

“Golem!” Said Joe. “Use Rock Slide!” Alolan Golem hurled large boulders at Fearow, and the Beak Pokemon fainted.

“That was just bad luck.” Said Ghetsis, returning Fearow to his Poke Ball. “Go, Gardevoir!” Gardevoir was sent out.

“You deserve a rest, Golem!” Said Joe, returning Alolan Golem to his Poke Ball. “Go, Perrserker!” Perrserker was sent out.

“Gardevoir!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Mystical Fire!” Gardevoir breathed a special hot fire at Perrseker, which the Viking Pokemon avoided.

“Perrserker!” Said Joe. “Use Iron Head!” Perrserker smashed into Gardevoir with his iron-clad forehead, leaving the Embrace Pokemon with half his HP.

“Gardevoir!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Mystical Fire!” Gardevoir breathed a special hot fire at Perrserker again, this time leaving the Viking Pokemon with half his HP.

“Perrserker!” Said Joe. “Use Gyro Ball!” Perrserker tackled Gardevoir with a high-speed spin, and the Embrace Pokemon fainted.

“Luckily, my next Pokemon has many resistances!” Said Ghetsis, returning Gardevoir to his Poke Ball. “Go, Empoleon!” Empoleon was sent out.

“That was amazing, Perrserker!” Said Joe, returning the Viking Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Manectric!” Manectric was sent out.

“Manectric!” Said Joe. “Use Wild Charge!” Manectric shrouded himself in electricity and smashed into Empoleon which not only dealt great damage to the Emperor Pokemon, but also hurt Manectric with recoil.

“Empoleon!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Hydro Pump!” Empoleon fired lots of water at Manectric, but luckily, the attack missed.

“Manectric!” Said Joe. “Use Thunderbolt!” Manectric hit Empoleon with a strong bolt of lightning, leaving the Emperor Pokemon with 40% of his HP.

“Empoleon!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Earthquake!” Empoleon shook the floor violently, leaving the Discharge Pokemon with half his HP.

“Manectric!” Said Joe. “Finish him off with Thunder!” Manectric dropped a wicked bolt of lightning on Empoleon, and the Emperor Pokemon fainted.

“Luckily, my next Pokemon is so powerful,” Said Ghetsis, returning Empoleon to his Poke Ball. “That it’s been banished to the underworld! You won’t believe how hard it was to find this guy. Go, Spiritomb!” Spiritomb was sent out.

“You deserve a rest, Manectric!” Said Joe, returning the Discharge Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Wigglytuff!” Wigglytuff was sent out.

“Wigglytuff!” Said Joe. “Use Play Rough!” Wigglytuff inflated to the size of a Snorlax and jumped on Spiritomb, leaving the Forbidden Pokemon with 60% of her HP. The Balloon Pokemon deflated after that.

“Spiritomb!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Curse!” Spritomb stuck a nail into herself, depleting her HP, and inflicted a curse on Wigglytuff. Unless Joe switched out the Balloon Pokemon, she’d keep losing HP at the end of each turn until she fainted.

“Wigglytuff!” Said Joe. “Use Play Rough!” Wigglytuff inflated to the size of a Snorlax and jumped on Spiritomb, and the Forbidden Pokemon fainted. The Balloon Pokemon deflated after that and lost HP from the curse.

“Why did the Fairy Type have to be discovered?” Ghetsis muttered to himself while returning Spiritomb to her Poke Ball. “Go, Grappeloct!” Grapploct was sent out.

“That was great, Wigglytuff!” Said Joe, returning the Balloon Pokemon to her Poke Ball. “Go, Xatu!” Xatu was sent out.

“Xatu!” Said Joe. “Use Psychic!” Xatu attacked Grapploct with a strong telekinetic force, leaving the Jujitsu Pokemon with 3/4 of his HP.

“Grapploct!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Ice Punch!” Grapploct slugged Xatu with an icy tentacle, leaving the Mystic Pokemon with 60% of his HP.

“Xatu!” Said Joe. “Use Future Sight!” Xatu focused his energy on a powerful Psychic-Type attack, but nothing happened.

“Grapploct!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Octazooka!” Grapploct sprayed ink at Xatu that not only dealt a substantial amount of damage, but also lowered his accuracy by one rank.

“Xatu!” Said Joe. “Use Psychic!” Xatu attacked Grapploct with another strong telekinetic force, leaving the Jujitsu Pokemon with 10% of his HP.

“Grapploct!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Payback!” Grapploct pummeled Xatu with all his might, leaving the Mystic Pokemon with less than a quarter of his HP. However, Grapploct got hit with the Future Sight attack and fainted.

“Luckily, my next Pokemon can Mega Evolve!” Said Ghetsis, returning the Jujitsu Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Ampharos!” Ampharos was sent out.

“You deserve a rest, Xatu.” Said Joe, returning the Mystic Pokemon to his Poke Ball. “Go, Flygon!” Flygon was sent out, and she was holding Wide Lens.

“You ain’t seen nothing yet!” Said Ghetsis, and he pressed a button on his ring. Suddenly, Ampharos started changing: His skin changed to a lighter yellow, his horns grew longer, he grew a beautiful Pyroar-like mane, and a fluffy white tail with red orbs. Ampharos has evolved into Mega Ampharos.

“Flygon!” Said Joe. “Use Earthquake!” Flygon shook the floor violently, leaving the Light Pokemon with 75% of his HP.

“Ampharos!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Dragon Pulse!” Mega Ampharos attacked Flygon with a powerful shock wave, leaving the Mystic Pokemon with 40% of her HP.

“Flygon!” Said Joe. “Use Fissure!” Flygon opened a fissure in the ground that managed to swallow up Mega Ampharos, making him faint and revert to his original form.

“No more games!” Said Ghetsis, returning Ampharos to his Poke Ball. “Go, Kyurem!” White Kyurem was sent out.

“You deserve a rest, Flygon!” Said Joe, returning the Mystic Pokemon to her PokeBall. “Go, Klefki!” Klefki was sent out.

“Kyurem!” Said Ghetsis. “Use Noble Roar!” White Kyurem roared at Klefki, and she was turned into a keychain!

“I thought you were gonna turn Pokemon into animals.” Said Joe.

“I forgot to tell you.” Said Ghetsis. “Some Pokemon will be turned into animals. Others will be turned into regular everyday objects! Klefki, as you see, will be turned into a keychain!”

“Oh no!” Said Joe, opening up his laptop to swap Klefki with Perrserker. “Go, Perrserker!” Perrserker was sent out, only for White Kyurem to turn him into a cat.

“Go, Aggron!” Aggron was sent out, only to be turned into a Triceratops skeleton, which immediately crumbled. “What?”

“Oh yeah.” Said Ghetsis. “Some Pokemon will be extinct in the New World Order, even the ones that aren’t extinct! And worse of all, you can’t bring extinct animals back to life!” Joe kept sending more and more Pokemon out, but all he got were dogs, birds, bugs, plants, turtles, rocks, and even a bell! Luckily, when Joe sent out Donphan, he turned into a mighty African elephant.

“Donphan!” Said Joe. “You’re as big as a Dhelmise! Can you still understand me?” Donphan nodded his head yes.

“How can this be?” Ghetsis asked himself. “Animals are supposed to be small. That thing’s big enough to pierce through Kyurem!”

“Donphan!” Said Joe. “Use Horn Attack!” Donphan charged into White Kyurem with his mighty tusks, managing to split the Boundry Pokemon in half.

“Nooooooo!!!!!” Screamed Ghetsis. “You two may be separate entities, but I still own you both!” Kyruem turned to Ghetsis and froze him with Ice Beam. It and Reshiram went to sleep, and if it were a miracle, all of Joe’s Pokemon changed back to normal. Both Legendaries then started mumbling in their sleep.

“What’s that?” Joe asked. “You want me to get out a Pokemon that knows Dream Eater? Okay.” He returned all his Pokemon to their Poke Balls, stored them in the laptop, and sent out Musharna.

“Musharna.” Said Joe. “Use Dream Eater.” Musharna ate the dreams of both Dragons, and pictures of them appeared in her Dream Mist.

“Thanks for freeing us from that tyrant.” They said. “Is there anything we can do for you in return?”

“Well,” Joe thought. “How about carrying Ghetsis to prison, where he belongs?”

“We will do that.” Said the Dragons.

“I also want Alex and Professor Spruce to know about my encounters with Ghetsis, you two, and the whole animal mess.” Joe added. “And make sure that they’re the same people I’m thinking of!”

“That will also be taken care of.” Replied the Dragons. They then woke up from their slumber, used Dragon Tail to destroy the castle, and they flew off with Ghetsis in Kyurem’s talons.

“Well,” Said Joe. “Time to continue with my adventure. Next stop, Evergreen City!” Joe swapped Musharna with Talonflame, sent her out, and rode the Scorching Pokemon to Evergreen City.

Author's Note: Some Pokemon, like Musharna and Hypno, are actually capable of eating dreams! However, this can only happen if the Defending Pokemon is sleeping.
I went with this decision because I didn't want the Legendary Dragons to talk, as I already did that with Arceus in Rise of Rainbow Rocket.
